Chương 37: Chapter 21

Emanuel and his mother Johanna were called to school.

Melody was in the infirmary. «I'm fine.» she said when her brother and mother joined her worried.

«What happen to you?»

«I got mad at my friends and clenched my fists too much, that's all.» she didn't even bother to lie.

«Why did you go that far?»

«Enough Emanuel. Let's just go home.» Johanna said.

Without making a fuss Melody followed them to the car. She was hoping they would actually come and take her away. She no longer felt like taking lessons. It was her who had asked the school to call her family. Well she was only expecting Emanuel, not Johanna. So she couldn't talk with her brother about what had happened.

Johanna walked her to her room. «Is everything really okay? Do you want to talk about it?»

«Everything ok mom, really. Those girls weren't really my friends, I knew it from the start. I'll read a bit and everything will pass.», Melody tried to smile.
