As the dark figure in a black trench coat emerged from the small sports car, Nick yelled, "Hey buddy, nice ride! Hurry up and get in here. It's pouring down out there!"

The person ran for the door and passed Nick into the entryway, trying to avoid the rain.

"Don't worry about the water on the floor," he said. "It's tile. It'll dry out. Here let me take your coat."

The person handed him the umbrella and Nick turned to place it in the coat stand. "The weather is crazy these last few days, isn't it? One minute we are in a drought and the next it's pouring down rain. So… you're Sam?"

The person turned and removed the hood from the trench coat, preparing to hand it off. "Yes, I am. Nice to meet you, Mr. Ashford."

Nick wasn't paying much attention until his eyes met the mystery person. "Whoa. You're a chick!" He stepped back in shock.
