I just finished it all and I must say, this novel had its ups and downs, with a realistic intake of beast taming and an incredibly well developed system, it's not impossible to say that most beast taming novels nowadays draw inspiration from this one. it's ending isn't rushed at all and has given me catharsis, 9/10 would read again

overall a nice book, a little bit comedic undertones, and dramatic fights, I was expecting it to be a 3k chapters novel, but at least a nice ending.
Just finished The translation is bad, it is still okay few hundred chaps, then it goes bad but it is not that unreadable, you still understand what happen, it might be because original language chinese not wrote with much complex sentence so even with machine like translation it is still good to go. The story is fresh no some cliche Chinese plot like young master, no stupid offense, no step stone like 5gen family coming to fight. I must say I like this one. Even with bad translation, it still let me want to read more. The development on other characters not much / no serious threat on Mc at all because he is too fast in getting stronger It might not be perfect but it is very refreshing. Below are some ending review Ending was a bit rush. no exploration on other characters, I feel that we all want to see more of their journey or at least only mc and his pets also okay. And also not showing how other people around Mc are doing after 100,000 yrs.
I finally finished reading all the chapters after more than a year. It's a really great book.
Been reading this novel for a couple of years now. Never thought it would end this way but oh well ending was okay just normal. And I’m gonna miss this novel it was a fun reading experience and thank you for all your effort.

the journey of the story is extremely funny for me, i just hope i can find another novel that make me obsessed like this make me always wait for it update

Tiết lộ Spoiler I like this novel. Pets in both teams are very interesting and well-written (rivalry, etc.), especially Eleven. Pandas are super cute. Overall, very good world and character-building, though some chapters can be longer, and updates can be much faster.
Main character is a rascal, but likable . Some of his pets are repeats, but all in all a fun book to root for the hero. No romance in this book.

Very disappointing. Why did so many people give this novel a 5-star review? I was fooled by those 5-star reviews!!! I stopped reading after chapter 61. There are too many plot holes, and the other characters have no IQ at all.
This is a great book. The character design for each pet is adorable and funny. I love Shi Yu's character and his love for archaeology. And if anyone has a book similar to this please do recommend it because I am all ready caught up to the chapter's released.😭
The translator forgets to translate many paragraphs in some chapters. I cant tell how much im lowing by reading from hia translation anymore.this becomes obvious in chapter 236 and 237.since i discovered it i began reading directly from the original and discovered that many important contents were missing.
its fun, quirky, doesnt take itself too seriously and is an overall enjoyable read. i find myself laughing from time to time and I love the dynamic between the pets! its refreshing and sweet. I love it sm. I highly reccomend!
Its a pretty good novel, I've just finished the whole WebNovels and its great from start to finish. If you liked WebNovels like Library of Heaven's Path, and Museum of Deadly Beasts you'll like this. It has some similar vibes but I think its much more of a realistic sort of beast taming novel. The trainer actually truly loves his pets, and they become his family, the fights are amazing and the pets have their own independence an intelligence. The world building is quite cool as well, with how the beast taming works, and how archeology and past eras come into play. This is also one of the few books that explain why he transmigrates which is much appreciate. It quite funny as well, the antics the Shi Yu and his pets get into. The end is fitting an wholesome imo. It not super long but also not too short either, at just under 2000 chapter. The only downside might be the translation gets a bit lacking halfway or maybe 3/4 of the way through. Not so bad that its unreadable, but you get lots of misused he instead of she and vice versa. The occasional repeated sentence and sometimes the terms for things changes, although its still understandable. Overall, if you want a fun, light hearted novel to read this is it!
