The group reached Toshi's mom's place. But, upon entering the house, they found nothing but darkness and emptiness.
It was the same feeling that Raiden got when first entered Makie's house. The feeling that the house had been abandoned. He could feel what Toshi was going through at that moment.
The group searched throughout the entire house but Toshi's mom was nowhere to be seen.
Everyone gathered inside the hall room. No one said anything.
The awkward silence filled the room. Both Raiden and Sheila did not know how to consult Toshi at this point. First, it was his father and now even his mother was missing.
Finally, Toshi himself broke the silence.
"Let's rest up tonight. We gotta leave tomorrow."
"Leave to where?" Sheila asked.
"Out of Shinjuku, of course."
"We can't just leave the town right off the bat. What about your mother?"
"What can we even do about it? Search the whole Shinjuku?"
He had a point. And, Sheila could not answer him.
But, Raiden spoke up.
