"Dad, I will go. Don't worry, I will ask Doctor Griffin to treat my sister's wound," he said, smiling.
"Do you still remember his house?" Michael asked in an innocent voice, not sure if his son still remembered where the doctor's house was.
"Of course I do! I used to play there a lot, right? I will go now." Ryley turned around and glanced at Clyde, then saw the man nod in return.
Seeing the two about to vanish from behind the door, Michael caught up with them.
Unsettled feelings came out of nowhere in his heart, making him feel that he had to explain the sudden incident just now.
"Ryley wait!" Michael caught his son's wrist and stopped him. "I don't know how the glass broke just now, but your sister didn't mean anything bad. Maybe she's just surprised when you tried to help her, and told you to stay away so the shards won't harm you."
The blond let out a warm smile, relieved that his father couldn't see the subtle tension he hid behind his honey-like eyes.
