Chương 48: Run! Get away from me!
New World, Dressrosa
Inside King Riku Doldo's chamber
King Riku Doldo the King of Dressrosa was currently sleeping peacefully on his bed when suddenly he sensed someone enters his room, he immediately sat up and shouted.
"Who goes there?!"
Checking his surroundings King Riku didn't find anyone but a peal of faint laughter draw his attention towards the window and there he saw a silhouette of a person sitting down.
Doflamingo looked at King Riku and placed his finger on his lips as he said, "No shouting now, and no calling for help."
Visibly shook, King Riku started sweating when he saw the person that infiltrated his room.
Jumping off the window, Doflamingo entered the room and said while stretching out his arms, "I am Donquixote Dolfamingo, and I have returned to my rightful Kingdom."
King Riku stared at Doflamingo who had a huge grin on his face and asked, "What do you want?"
"Heeheehee, I am not that unreasonable seeing that you are already ruling this country then I will sell this country for 10 billion beli!" Doflamingo laughingly said.
"But. . ." King Riku was about to speak when Doflamingo spoke first.
"You have until sunrise, you can't ask for help from the neighboring countries, HeeheeheeHAHAHAHA!" After finishing speaking Doflamingo disappeared his laughter could still be heard from afar.
Seeing Doflamingo leave, King Riku didn't waste any time as he dressed up and immediately called for an emergency meeting.
At the palace hall, King Riku along with his advisors and soldiers were currently thinking of possible ideas on how to gather 10 billion in just a few hours.
"Why don't we just fight him, your majesty?" Tank the commander of the Dressrosa army asked.
King Riku shook his head and said, "We must not, to call it a fight is courageous but to kill one another is not the act of civilized men!"
He then glanced at his soldiers and continued, "The absence of war throughout 800 years of Dressrosan history proves that we are not beasts!"
"We don't have any more time, go and spread out to every town in the nation and gather me 10 billion beli's!"
Tank bowed his head followed by the rest of the soldiers as they rode their horses and went to every town in the country to ask for money.
While all of this was happening, a ship docked at one of the beaches in Dressrosa.
"We have finally arrived at Dressrosa but it's currently night time so let's all rest up and enter the town tomorrow," Kenshin said.
Jinbe and Izo both entered their respective cabin while Hiyori stayed on the deck with Kenshin.
"Does my little princess want to visit my cabin tonight?" Kenshin asked with a teasing smile.
Hiyori snorted and replied as she sat down and said, "Kenshin, let's stay here for the time being and enjoy the beautiful starry night."
Sitting beside her, Kenshin looked up and remembered the same time starry night a few years ago.
"Hiyori, remember when you always kick Momonsuke as a sign of greeting making him fear you every time he comes home after we practiced swinging our wooden swords."
A smile appeared on Hiyori's face as she remembered her elder brother's aggrieved look every time she greeted him with a kick, "Mother would always berate me saying that I should be a proper lady."
Looking at Hiyori who suddenly started tearing up Kenshin held her hands and asked, "Do you still know how to play the shamisen?"
Hiyori nodded as she ran towards her cabin and grabbed the shamisen showing it to Kenshin, "Do you want me to play a few songs?"
"That would be great, all alone on the deck of a ship with a beautiful lady playing music for me," Kenshin commented as he listened to the music that Hiyori started playing.

At the same time Kenshin and Hiyori were having a lovely evening, the King Riku army that is being led by Tank already gathered all the money from the surrounding towns.
"We finally gathered enough money, the citizen of Dressrosa really trust King Riku so we should also do our best and deliver it to him as fast as possible." A soldier said emotionally after seeing the trust the citizens have given to them.
"Right, we all should go back!" Another soldier commented as he hopped on his horse.
Tank who has a smile on his face felt grateful to be born in this country as he led the group of soldiers back to the palace.
On their way back, they saw a lone silhouette riding a horse with his sword raised up high ready to strike at any time.
"Run! Get away from me!"
As the soldiers got closer to the silhouette they saw King Riku with tears in his eyes as he shouted for them to leave.
Confused, the soldiers immediately approached their king to see what is happening but as soon as they got closer King Riku who was crying suddenly slashed a soldier on his chest.
"What are you doing, your majesty?!" The soldiers shouted in confusion as they saw their very own king killing his loyal soldiers.
"Please get away! go to the towns and evacuate the citizens!" King Riku shouted as he commanded his soldiers.
Tank who was leading the front already thought of what happened to their king and ordered the soldiers, "Back off and follow the king's order!"
The soldiers all followed Tank as they ran away from King Riku.
"What is happening, Commander Tank?" A soldier asked.
Tank clenched his fist as he explained, "I think this all Doflamingo's doing, King Riku would never attack his soldier!"
"Heeheehee, what a smart commander too bad that you will also follow your king's footstep."
Doflamingo landed in front of the soldiers as he moved his fingers randomly.
"Parasite String!"
Invisible strings landed on every soldier's neck and they suddenly lost control of their bodies.
"What's happening?!"
"I can't move my body!"
"Oy, Get away!"
*Swoosh!* *Stab!*
The soldiers started attacking one another and the rest went to the towns and started burning every building they passed by.
"Go and kill everyone on sight, make everyone quake in fear and hate the king with all their hearts! HeeheeheeHAHAHA!"
Kenshin and Hiyori who were having a lovely evening suddenly heard people screaming and saw a huge fire coming from a town that was near their location.
"What's going on?" Hiyori asked as she saw the fire continue to spread out.
Standing up, Kenshin had a serious look on his face as he said, "Go and wake up the other two, we will check out what is happening."
