Chương 2: A Manager
At Franks gym, in Brooklyn New York, Leo practices punches and kicks on a heavy bag.
"Beautiful, kid. You got your father's power." Frank tells him.
"He certainly does." A voice says.
Frank and Leo look over and see Sunny Morgan and a beatiful young woman with brown hair and glasses enter the gym.
"His father hit like a heavyweight too." Sunny says with a smile.
Frank scoffs at the sight of Sunny as he walks over to him.
"Frank. Despite our differences, I always said you were one of the best trainers in the business." Sunny tells him.
"I don't care what you say about me, Morgan." Frank replies.
He then looks over to the young woman.
"It's always nice to see you, Danielle."
Danielle smiles.
"Always nice to see you too, Frank."
She then looks over to Leo and the two smile at each other for a moment.
"I'm bringing my daughter into the business. You know how good she is with fighters. I want her to manage, Leo. You're a great trainer but, why not concentrate on what you do best. And let, Danielle and I concentrate on Leo's career."
"Thanks, but I think I can handle it." Frank tells him.
Sunny smirks and looks over to Leo.
"Isaiah Cross will be fighting for a title within two years, I can do that for you." Sunny tells him.
"Thanks. But I can handle it." Leo replies.
Sunny starts getting frustrated.
"Did this old man, ever get your father a title shot?"
"He was on his way! " Frank yells at him.
"The only way to the title, is through me." Sunny tells him.
"Not if no one can beat me." Leo tells him.
Sunny looks at the young man with anger in his eyes.
"Oh, you think so? You don't know who your fucking with."
"Dad." Danielle says, grabbing her father's arm.
"You've been listening to this, stupid old man!"
"Dad!"
Sunny storms off in a fit of rage.
"You don't know who your fucking with!" He yells as he leaves the gym.
Danielle sighs, then turns to Frank and Leo.
"I apologize." She tells them.
"You have no reason to apologize, Danielle. But your father, on the other hand, he chews fighters up and he spits them out."
"Frank, if we just-"
"Danielle. Your a good egg. But no way, are we getting in bed with Sunny Morgan."
Danielle nods.
"I respect your decision."
She then looks over to Leo.
"Lucas Palmer likes to run, but he'll get agressive at the end of each round. He's good at stealing fights. Good luck, Leo."
She then turns to leave.
"Thanks, Danielle." Leo says with a smile.
"She's right about that Palmer. She's a smart girl, that Danielle."
"Yeah, she is." Leo replies.
Frank then notices a big smile on his face.
"Hey, hey, hey. None of that, alright? You just focus on your match, Romeo."
Leo laughs.
"You got it, Frank."
He then continues to strike the heavy bag.
