"There has to be something in here about Dementors... What's the point in having a restricted section if you can't find the information about restricted creatures... I don't have much time left before McGonagall makes an appearance..."
My time is running short, and I don't want to spend Christmas day locked in detention. I've already cost House Gryffindor 25 points from the number of times I've been caught in the restricted section. Albus has helped when he could, but it only goes so far.
Everyone still at Hogwarts is either spending time in their common rooms or exploring the grounds. It's almost 3:00 PM, and the library will be closing at that time.
It's a holiday, and it won't be staying open. I head to the sections about dark creatures. The whole reason I created Summa Exitium was to destroy creatures like Dementors. Since I've reached a roadblock in my efforts, going back to the original idea may help me.
Dementors are unkillable creatures. Not even a Killing Curse can end them. They can only be driven away by a Patronus. Summa Exitium was originally designed to kill a Dementor. Destroy them.
I've searched the section on dark creatures a number of times. Every time, I don't find what I'm looking for, but this is a rare chance to get the information.
A Dementor is a Wraithlike creature... I've already searched the types of dark spirits, and it wasn't there... Where would you find Wraithlike creatures in the dark creature section... Think, Alex...
Types Of Foul Creatures, maybe? I might be searching in the wrong section in its entirety. I make my way over to the Foul Creatures area, a part of the restricted section. It takes me a few minutes, but I find the book I'm looking for. There is one problem.
It's chained to the bookcase. Meaning I can't take it with me. Unless I destroy the chain. But, even for me, that's pushing the leeway Albus has given me. So, I'll have to come back another time. But I know where it is now.
I leave the library and make my way toward the Gryffindor common rooms. As I enter, I see Ron and Harry sitting by the fireplace. They're talking about something, but I don't know what it is. Perhaps it's the troll they saved Hermione from in the girl's bathroom?
But I won't pry. I have my own research to take care of. I've only come back to gather some things before heading to the room of requirement.

Minerva has brought it to my attention that Alex was in the restricted section again. However, this time she decided not to bust him. It's Christmas eve, after all. But I was curious about what he was searching for, and I looked into it.
A History And Compendium On The Foulest Creature, Dementors.
It's a precious book about the creatures everyone knows as Dementors. Alex has been working on a spell. That much, I know. What it's about has just been revealed to me. It has something to do with dementors.
Recently, there has been a book that's occupying my time. One that took a long time to find, but I have it. It cost me a small fortune, but it was worth it. I don't have answers about the Aevum family. About Alex's origins.
The Book Of Reagex Aevum is arriving tomorrow. Reagex is a name I'm unfamiliar with, only that my contact said this should give me much-needed insight into who I'm researching.
The Aevum family and Alex are unique. That much, I know. The Book Of Prophecies revealed that much. But this will reveal even more. After I'm done reading it tomorrow, I'll have to make a decision about whether or not Alex should see it.
He doesn't know anything about his family, which could give some answers. On the other hand, he's only 12, and I don't want to shove responsibilities on him that he's too young to have. He should have a fun and memorable childhood.
Not one cut short by information that could change his life too soon.
