Cheryl walked by the Hourglass Room and noticed Dawn sitting alone in a chair.
"Miss Knight," she started, "is everything all right?"
Dawn looked up, surprised at the intrusion. "Oh, hi Cheryl; I'll be all right. I'm actually here from an hour ahead. I'm practicing my jumps."
"Have you seen my son or Katya?"
"No, I haven't," Dawn answered. "Is there something I can help you with?"
"It's just that something seems displaced and I was wondering if they knew anything about it," Cheryl answered
"What do you mean?" asked Dawn.
"It's just that things seem different, shifted. I can't put my finger on it. Do you notice anything like that, Dawn?"
"Now that you mention it, maybe," Dawn answered but then looked down at her feet.
"I can see something's troubling you," Cheryl said. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"I'm sure you don't want to hear about my troubles," Dawn answered. "You have much more important things to think about."
"Try me," said Cheryl, pulling up a chair.
