Chương 19: Entry 15 - Shearing Sheep (Watame)

Today, I visited a farm. Well, actually I tagged with Kyrell to go to a farm. He was invited by the local farmer to help sheer some sheep, which reminded me I probably also need to fix myself up as well.

But the farm was fun at least, the sheep there were very nice and they told me all sorts of stuff about the village. However, within those sheep a rumour has been going around about a ram who's been cheating with his wife! What a scandal, so while I was sheering more sheep with Rio I managed to come across the sheep that was being cheated on.

She was like one of those wives in the hairdressers talking about her husband who has been coming home late and had lipstick on his collar. But instead, she was on about how he came back to her late and smelled like another woman. It was some good stuff, I felt like I was a part of a drama show.

So of course I was going to help no matter what.

When we confronted him, we found the guy cuddling with another woman! The nerve of that man, making little lambs with another woman.

When the woman saw her husband, she lost it, she started to scream at him for cheating and he couldn't do a thing about it, he tried explaining that it was his duty to make children, but she wasn't having it. She had three lambs from him and then he goes off doing it with another woman, he had no shame.

Well, luckily I was there and I managed to calm the situation down, I then told the ram to not cheat again since it was bad and he did understand, but he then revealed the reason for his adultery.

He was the only ram on the entire farm.

I then looked around and noticed that yeah, he was the only ram in the entire flock. I guess he was told to just make lambs so that the farmer could make wool. As a sheep I would be offended, but since I know business thanks to Coco-chan, I decided to help the farmer out and get him some rams to help with the production of lambs.

I know a lot of flocks after all, being a bard and all, so getting a couple of rams a new home was going to be easy.

I continued to sheer the rest of the sheep with the others and when we were finished, me and Kyrell went straight home.

On the way, he asked about what I was doing so I told him about the drama of the sheep and her ram. He kinda just laughed at it saying that he didn't really need to know that but he appreciated it.

Maybe I should become a sheep therapist. I'll talk to the others about this later.
