"…And don't worry, I won't tell anyone at all." I heard the words as I ran into the house, Doc hot on my heels. The door was standing open, and that alone would scare the shit out of me. I would assume that something really bad had happened to Ocean while I was gone. But, right now, I was more scared about something else entirely. I was scared of the man that was sitting there, looking at my husband and speaking in serious tones.

"You had better not." Doc's voice practically growled next to me as we both skidded into the room and looked at Ocean and Derek sitting across from each other. Hudson, confused and lost, was standing near the wall. Likely the same spot that he had been in when he texted me and Doc about what was happening at my house.

"D..Doc?" Derek bolted to his feet and spoke in a scared voice. "M..M..Makai." He was trying to not show that he was frightened by the tone in Doc's voice when he had all but threatened him.
