- Who's killing Willie? - After waiting a couple of seconds after Luffy was silent, Zoro asked, as if he hadn't heard his captain's heartfelt speech at all.
- Zoro-aniki, how many have you killed today? - instead of answering, Yosaku asked a counter question.
- What makes you think that I have already killed someone today ?! - the swordsman was quite sincerely indignant. - Why do you always talk about me like that, as if I am some kind of bloodthirsty maniac who only kills everyone around ?!
The two friends stared at him with completely blank eyes.
- Zoro-aniki, you've been with Luffy-aniki for over a year and a half - Johnny was the first to reply.
- With LUFFY-aniki! - Yosaku added pointedly.
- And over the past six months, I don't remember a single island, city or village where you didn't kill at least someone - added the first.
Nami, looking at Zoro with eyes wide with horror, took a few steps back, involuntarily hiding behind Luffy's back. The society of the psycho, somehow unexpectedly, became more preferable than the society of the chronic killer. Mentally, she again raised the question of the reason for the captaincy of the guy in the straw hat. Why exactly him when there are much more creepy personalities around? How so? Focusing on one thing, she completely lost sight of the fact that Johnny's first reason was not at all Zoro's pathological inability not to kill anyone, but his fact of long-term acquaintance with Luffy.
- You don't have to talk about me as if I'm only doing what I'm looking for someone to kill! - the swordsman blushed, either from anger, or from embarrassment, but most likely from both
- Then you mean you still haven't killed anyone? - Johnny asked incredulously.
His voice was truly filled with disbelief.
- ...
- Dozen! He killed dozen! - realizing that Zoro was not going to reval willingly, handed him over to Luffy. - He chopped off half of their heads, and even finished off those who tried to escape from him in the back. An absolutely merciless monster. It is immediately clear that murder is as vital for him as food and water.
- You are the last person on the planet from whom I want to hear such words! - the swordsman did not remain in debt.
- We're digressing from the original topic - Johnny reminded himself. - If Zoro-aniki killed ten, then with Willie he is already in flight. Given the average size of pirate crews in these waters, ten is almost certainly a third, if not half, of a crew.
- So it's just you and me - Yosaku nodded.
- Hey, this will be the seventh captain you kill - the green-haired guy frowned. - I also want to fight strong opponents.
- You don't fight Zoro-aniki, you just kill them - Johnny sighed.
- They don't even have time to understand anything, as they are already dead - Yosaku nodded in agreement.
-Also - said Luffy's pleased voice - if you really are going to convince anyone that you are not a bloodthirsty maniac or a chronic killer at all, then you better not be indignant that you are not allowed to kill much more. Believe me, this will make your words sound much more believable and noticeably more convincing.
If just a couple of minutes ago, Nami experienced only mild anxiety about her imminent future, now she has already begun to worry for real. Zoro, Johnny and Yosaku looked a lot like a group of young children unable to share a single toy. Here only a living person acted in the role of a toy, the future murder of which they shared. Against their background, even Arlong did not look so bloodthirsty.
In the end, Zoro dropped out of the discussion, and Johnny and Yosaku shared the carcass of the pirate they had not yet killed using a game of Rock Paper Scissors. Johnny won, which made him incredibly happy, and just as much upset Yosaka. Nami's thoughts about escape, with each subsequent minute spent in the company of the guys, became more and more persistent. However, the habitual thirst for money was still successfully overriding the instinct of self-preservation - with which, it must be admitted, she already had enormous problems - so she could not take it like that and give it up. On the other hand, she began to feel that the members of her new team, downright set out to convince her of how bad an idea it would be to stay with them.
Nami have been robbing pirates since the age of thirteen, that is, for more than five years. And during this time, she managed to see enough of death in almost all its manifestations. The pirates were never distinguished by humanity, and she knew about it by no means by hearsay. She joined dozens of various pirate teams, and she saw even more of them. For five years, she had seen enough of how pirates killed each other, killed marines and ordinary townspeople, so she could not be surprised or frightened by death. The girl from the very beginning knew what she was going for when she decided to go to sea - Arlong in this regard became an excellent teacher. And yet, despite all her previous experience, she felt a great deal of discomfort when their group reached Crazy Willie's ship and boarded.
It was a massacre.
The first three pirates who met on their way died before they could even open their mouths. A blow from Johnny's fist completely blew off the head of one, and Zoro's monstrous kick, breaking all ribs, sent the other far overboard. Yosaku turned out to be a real butcher. Driving his axes-swords into the base of the third pirate's neck, he chopped it into four pieces. Without any noticeable effort, in one sharp movement, cutting the ribs of his victim. The sight of the head, hands and body remains lying apart made Nami turn noticeably green. Moreover, all the other pirates suffered a similar fate.
- Would you like some ice cream - Luffy inquired innocently, barely noticing the girl's condition. - Vanilla! - he held out to her it is not clear where he got the sealed ice cream on a stick.
Only here the "Monster in hat" have seen not what he expected . Instead of the expected nausea, the girl silently took the ice cream and, having opened it, put it in her mouth. Along the way, she did not forget to give the guy a cold look. In response, he only smiled happily.
- I see, though death is unpleasant for you, it doesn't scare you - the guy noted.
- Pirates are pirates - Nami said scornfully. - You always kill everyone and destroy everything.
- Do you really feel sorry for them? - Luffy looked at the girl over his fashionable glasses with outright curiosity - We are now killing pirates, not marines or townspeople.
- With your strength, you can simply stun them and hand them over to the marines.
The guy did not have time to answer, an angry roar cut through the air:
- BASTARDS !!! HOW DARE TO ATTACK ME ?! ME?!! "MAD" WILLY? !!
At least, it immediately became clear why he received such a nickname.
- Oh Johnny, his screams annoy me - Zoro called. - Either you'll kill him yourself, or I'll do it.
- Zoro-aniki, practically everything annoys you, - Johnny rolled his eyes, nevertheless, heading towards the captain of the ship that seemed to them.
"Mad" Willie, as expected from a person with such a nickname, turned out to be a big, scary and so pumped-up monster that next to him even Johnny and Yosaku looked like dwarfs who fell victim to dystrophy. Someone like Luffy, with Willie in the background, could even pass for a small child, almost infants. But for some reason this Willie was dressed only in his pants ... like most of the other pirates who jumped out after him on the upper deck of the ship.
- Mother of God, - said Yosaku, staring unblinkingly at the captain of the pirate ship, - and where do they come from? What is it that you need to eat to grow up like that?
- Captain, they've already killed fifteen of ours - one of the pirates said from behind Willie.
- WHERE GAB GROUP? !! - Willie roared again. - AND WHERE IS GAB? !!
- They went after Nami, but if she came back with these guys, most likely Gab-san is already dead - one of the few fully clothed pirates replied surprisingly intelligently.
He was also the only surviving pirate on the upper deck when Zoro, Johnny and Yosaku began their bloody march through the ship. It immediately became clear to the entire Straw Hat family that the blue-haired man, now hiding behind his captain's back, had not survived for nothing. Zoro honored him with a loud chuckle. The second pirate with brains and both from the same team? The world is really full of surprises. However, the "Mad" himself did not pay the slightest attention to the assumption of the death of a certain Gab and his group. But Willie was interested in the mention of the girl present here and now:
- NAMI !!! - the big man roared for the third time ... or maybe he didn't roar? Zoro, for example, began to suspect that he always spoke that way. - HOW COULD YOU BETRAY ME? !!
- Indeed, Nami, do you generally have a sense of self-preservation, or what? - Luffy joined the question. - If I were you, I would be careful not to mess with someone like him. Can you imagine what would become of you if they caught you?
- Nothing, for which I would not be ready, - the girl answered indifferently - Afraid of wolfs: don't go to the forest.
The phrase elicited happy smiles from all the other Straw Hats. Even though she herself did not even know about it, but still, Nami really fit perfectly into their family. She was the most beautiful crazy-cat, they had ever met in their life.
- Ryu! - Luffy barked. - Extinguish it with Shoryuken (Fist of the Soaring Dragon)!
- I'm not Ryu! I'm Johnny! And I'm not going to do your moronic Shoryuken or whatever!
- My ... moronic ... Shoryuken? - seemingly quietly repeated the guy, but for some reason everyone on the ship heard him.
Johnny instantly became transparent - so much he turned pale.
- Excuse me, ca-captain, no-now everything will be!
Scared Johnny is power. Terrified by his captain Johnny is an unstoppable power. "Mad" Willie didn't have a chance ... not that he initially had any chances, but if things had turned out differently, he could have lived longer ... for two or three minutes.
Willie didn't even have time to blink when his killer was right under him:
- Shoryuken (Fist of the Soaring Dragon)!
Powerful jump upward, while simultaneously throwing up the fist enveloped in fire and turning of the whole body. The pirate's head flew away into the sea, and his body, after standing for a while, collapsed thunderous onto the deck of the ship, profusely flooding the boards with blood. Johnny landed nearby, being pretty stained with the blood of Willie and other pirates he had killed earlier, looking like a real demon. The surviving people, who had previously stood behind their captain, stared in shock at the decapitated body of their Boss. And only one of them, the same blue-haired pirate who recently explained the situation to Willie, jumped abruptly from his place, jumped over the side of the ship like a fish and went into the water practically without a splash.
- He's really smart - Zoro chuckled again.
