Chapter 11: USJ Incident FINALE

Weak.

As far back as I can remember I've been weak.

I was born with weak lungs and soon after developed a mutated strain of pleurisy never seen before. I can't use my quirk or train it properly because I can't handle the strain. I can't do any extensive physical exercise either.

I can't go to school because of my condition so I'm homeschooled by my mother. I have no close friends besides some minimal interactions with visitors.

The visitors who come by always look at me with the same gaze. Eyes filled with pity and sometimes even disdain. Even my parents, but it's not as pronounced, their love trumps it, but it's still there.

I hate it.

The pity in their gazes.

I hate it.

Being weak.

I wish I could have power like All Might. To squash anyone in my way. To prove to everyone that I can be better. The best of them all.

Those pitying gazes, I'll turn them into that of envy, jealousy, and praise.

These are the thoughts of Akutagawa.

These are my thoughts.

So I can't fall here. Not to some trash-tier villain or some science fair reject. This momentary pain that I'm feeling is nothing compared to a lifetime of being looked down upon.

Even if I die, I still have to take one of those bastards with me.

"Heh...I understand now. Fine, I'll do you a favor just this once, considering that we are one now. You are me, and I am you...", I said to myself as I pushed myself up from the rubble I was laid out on.

Stumbling forward, I watched as Midoriya launched himself at Kurogiri. I remember this scene. Any minute now Snipe will save him from getting his face rot off, but why should I give up this totally perfect opportunity to make a badass entrance and steal the spotlight. It wouldn't be fun otherwise.

"Rashomon:...", I growled, my voice grating my throat.

"Renmon...AGITO...!"

I felt my stomach turn looking at the scene I caused. The blood is fine but looking at Shigaraki's arm that resembled a torn piñata of gore was a little unsettling, to say the least. But he deserves it for ordering his brawny bird to smash me.

"Ha...You miss me? Bet you didn't think you'd see me again, but I'm back Crusty...and it's time for a little punishment", I grinned and stumbled forward, my eyes focused on the screaming Shigaraki and Kurogiri who stood beside him groaning.

"Young Akutagawa!", All Might called out in surprise. I only spared him a glance before shifting my gaze to Midoriya and the others. They were all looking at me in shock and Midoriya was shivering. I guess he was right there to witness the gore and tearing of Shigaraki's hand so it's understandable.

"You've been a nuisance since the beginning. I will take pleasure in splitting your body in half!", Kurogiri howled at me, his voice seething with anger.

"Fat chance Onahole. You'll be a good meal for my Rashomon", I spat back, swallowing the rising blood in my throat. I'm running on fumes. The flames from the Fire Zone did a number on me before, topping it with the Nomu's devastating punch, I should be unconscious right now if not for the sudden replay of memories I got from the previous Akutagawa.

"Gotta love flashbacks hehe..." Before I could engage Kurogiri an earth wall suddenly appeared, splitting our group off from Kurogiri and Shigaraki. Cementoss and the other reinforcements must have arrived.

They made quick work of the remaining cannon fodder and turned their attention to the retreating Shigaraki. Snipe sent lethal shots into his limbs before Kurogiri started blocking them.

"Let's go, we stand no chance now", Kurogiri quickly started pulling Shigaraki into his warp gate but Thirteen recovered enough to intercept him.

"No! This is...Blackhole!", Kurogiri groaned as his fog got sucked up at an incredible speed.

"I may have failed to kill you this time All Might, but your days are numbered...", Shigaraki hissed. "Symbol of Peace, I am going to kill you, and when I'm done, I'll go after that boy who took my hand-"

"I'm touched, you didn't forget about me."

"What!?!", Shigaraki screamed as I appeared behind him and Kurogiri.

"RASHOMON: GOKU MON AGITO."

The same ferocious beast appeared again but twice the size of earlier, snapping into Kurogiri's mist ravenously.

"AAAAAAAAAGHAAAAAAAAAH!", Kurogiri's pained screams echoed, prompting the heroes to stop in their tracks and stare at the scene unfolding.

"NO! THIS ISN'T HOW THIS IS SUPPOSED TO GO! EVERYTHING WAS RUINED BECAUSE OF YOU! I'LL DEFINITELY KILL YOU...!", Shigaraki screamed as he disappeared before my Rashomon could devour both him and Kurogiri. Dammit, I was so close.

[3rd POV]

Kurogiri's pained screams attracted the attention of nearly everyone nearby as they watched him being devoured by a black beast that radiated a malicious aura. A youth stood behind the beast with a sickening grin, his expression almost feral as blood flowed from his mouth.

Soon the screams ended and everything was still except the strained breathing coming from the youth.

Suddenly, that wheezing turned into coughs that sprayed blood all over his hand. Vomiting blood, the youth struggled to stand steadily, his legs quivering as the violent coughing continued.

Before anyone could react a blur of pink rushed past the heroes over to the boy at a surprising speed. Jumping, it collided with him, trapping him in a bear hug.

"YOU'RE ALIVE!", the pink girl Mina cried out, her voice full of relief as she hugged him strongly, resulting in his pale face becoming even whiter.

"Mi...Mina...", He wheezed out, his hands tapping her back weakly.

"I thought you were dead! When I saw you get punched into the building...it...it was scary, and I really wanted to run over but...", Mina's voice faltered slightly before she finally noticed that the boy was tapping her back.

"As if I'd die to-cough! Some trash like that...", The boy said, gasping as he gripped onto her shoulders to support himself.

"Haha, you're so full of yourself even after getting knocked down like that. It's kinda cool", She laughed cheerfully, her teary face instantly changing into one of cheer.

The boy laughed as well before his eyes rolled back into his head and he fell forward onto Mina, slumping in her arms as he passed out.

"Somebody help!", Mina called out as she held onto Akutagawa's body covered in blood and his outfit reduced to rags.

Finally, the heroes snapped into action and started escorting the students out while Ectoplasm took Akutagawa off Mina's hands, transporting him into an ambulance to be taken to the hospital.

Many other students were checked on but there weren't any injuries, Akutagawa and Midoriya being the most injured people in the class.

"I can't believe we let them escape after everything they did here", Midnight said as she gazed upon the wrecked USJ Facility.

"Well", came a voice beside them. Nezu, the principal, came up in Vlad King's arms as he talked. "They did catch us by surprise. For now, we need to make sure all the students are okay. We'll be holding a meeting later to discuss everything about today. The press needs to be appeased and measures are to be taken"

Midnight and Snipe nodded as Vlad spoke up.

"That student from earlier...", he trailed off.

"He got first place in the entrance exams. Akutagawa Ryunosuke. Quirk: Rashomon. It's incredibly powerful and he's very creative in its use", Nezu explained.

"He got pretty roughed up. From what the other students said, he got hit by that abomination", Snipe said.

"Yeah, he looked terrible. I can't imagine how he's even able to stand up like that", Midnight sighed. "He's got some fire in him".

"Yes, a fire that could burn a whole forest if he isn't tamed properly. He almost killed someone today, and his expression was anything but remorseful", Vlad spoke out his worries as Midnight and Snipe slipped into deep thought.

"We just have to do our best in demonstrating heroism and make sure he doesn't stray off the path", Nezu said with a chuckle, but his eyes flickered with hidden light.

"At least the warp gate quirk user is severely injured. I doubt he'd be back in action after that", Midnight said as the rest hummed in agreement.

"That's....16,17,18. Everyone looks unharmed aside from that green-haired boy and white tips", the detective said looking at his list.

"Hey Ojiro, I didn't realize you were such a fierce fighter!", Toru remarked, tapping him on the shoulder.

Ojiro shook his head. "It wasn't just me. I was with Akutagawa at the time, we teamed up and took down those villains pretty fast. Without him I might not have had such an easy time. Where were you fighting Hagakure?"

"The Landslide Zone. Todoroki was amazing!"

"Haha, you don't say?"

'I didn't even know she was there, I could've frozen her', Todoroki thought with a placid face.

The class started chatting away before a detective approached them to escort them away.

"Detective", Tsuyu hopped towards him. "What about Mr. Aizawa?". The rest of the class voiced their concern as well.

"Well, Mr. Aizawa's face is fractured and his arms are splintered. Fortunately, there wasn't any brain damage but... we have no idea if his eyesight will ever be the same"

Mina stepped forward, "Sir, what about Akutagawa?"

"Well, he's got multiple cracked ribs, internal bleeding, and his lungs took some serious damage but from the report, this wasn't caused by the attack, but I'm not allowed to disclose that information. It's private", the detective said.

Mina's brow furrowed and Kirishima clenched his fist tightly. After a few more questions about the other injured from the students, they were escorted back to class.

"Oooouuuhh....NO NO NO NO NOOO!!!", Shigaraki screamed, slamming his fist and stump against the floor repeatedly in a fit. Kurogiri lay motionless beside him, a pool of blood slowly stretching across the floor.

"Kurogiri injured, my hand gone, subordinates captured and even my Nomu was beaten....RRRAAAARGH!!! WE FAILED!!! THOSE KIDS WERE TOO STRONG AND THE SYMBOL OF PEACE....HE....he wasn't weakened at all! YOU WERE WRONG MASTER! SO WRONG!"

Suddenly a voice spoke from a mounted television, no video was displayed, only audio.

"No...we simply weren't as prepared as we should've been"

"I agree, we underestimated them and Kurogiri is out of commission. Thankfully, it was under the name of the League of Villains and not our own", another voice spoke from the television.

"Where is the Nomu I created, why is it not with you?", the voice asked.

"All Might blew him away, his power was...", Shigaraki trailed off.

"This is a travesty! I created him to be more powerful than All Might!"

"Power...that reminds me. There were two boys that caught my attention. There was a kid who tried to protect All Might, just as fast as him and another....HUUURGH!", Shigaraki grunted at the thought. "He took my hand! HE TOOK MY HAND!!!", he shrieked.

"Oh? Now that is interesting", the voice spoke.

"If it weren't for that boy, I would've been able to kill All Might!"

"Hmmm..." The other voice hummed.

"Of course you'd be upset, but we managed to gather useful information. Gather up more villains. I need you to be my face. Tomura Shigaraki, next time you will show the world that it should be afraid of you!", the voice said.
