Chương 32: Ch 31: Death of the Redhawk.
Those two were standing in my way, and I was now going to treat them like any other enemy I have faced, Lea tries to fire water bolts at me, as the water bolts approached me I dodged them easily as they were slow enough where I could dodge them, after dodging them i go on the attack and rush these two, as i was approaching them they try to stop me by hurling techniques at me, but I manage to reach them.
I catch the battle happening with Nozomi while I was approaching the two, she was being pushed back by the two humans and the hawk, she had gotten slightly injured in the battle she was having which makes me realize that I really have to hurry, I go up to Aaron and then I try to cut him with my claws, he parries the attack with his sword and I continue on attacking him, Lea tries to attack me from the side while I was fighting him by shooting me with ice spikes, I jump off his sword while we were attacking and dodge the attack from her, I fire a lightning bolt while I was jumping back, the lightning bolt hits him in his chest, shocking him and putting a hole through his armor and charring some of his chest, he staggered because of the pain but manages to stay concious, Lea tries to run towards him but I use telekinesis to throw myself towards her, I had a pretty big speed boost and was able to do 3d maneuvering with telekinesis, so as I was getting closer to her I activated telekinesis to maneuver myself towards her neck, she didn't expect these movements from me and had a shocked look on her face, I use body strengthening to guarantee what will happen next then I close my eyes and clamp down on her neck.
It was done, now there really was no turning around, as I bite her neck, blood comes flying out of her injury, she stumbled a couple of steps forward before falling down, essence had come out of her body guaranteeing the fact that she was now dead.
I was feeling terribly shocked by what I've done, but there was no time to focus on the sins I've committed, as Aaron now charges at me in unbelievable anger, he was attacking me while paying no heed to the injuries he had nor the difference in strength, that type of will power was something I deeply understood and respected, but unfortunately we were now enemies, I waited for an opportunity to be able to strike back as he continued to swing his sword, occasionally injuring me with a cut or so, the opportunity I waited for soon arrives as he stumbles while he was attacking, looks like the pain from his wound finally affected him, I use this opportunity to cut him up with a light technique, I create a sword of light and then as I was about to cut him in half, I was struck by a fireball from the hawk, the hawk had interfered with us and started battling me, the sword of light I was making wasn't completely gone after I was attacked, so I use the remnants of it to fire at the hawk, the hawk dodges the attack gracefully, looks like its flight is gonna be incredibly difficult to deal with, I gaze at Nozomi as my own battle continued, she was now getting very exhausted and was getting more and more injured, this is really bad now, I need to end this even faster now, I apply lightning to my body and use body strengthening on top of it, the hawk and Aaron thought that I was going to do something and so decided to retreat and fire techniques at me from afar, they both shoot fire techniques in all form at me, but it didn't matter as my last preparation was complete, I use telekinesis to propel me forward, then block some of the attacks with it, the others hit me and burns me slightly but I ignored the damage as it wasn't severe, the hawk and Aaron used body strengthening to try and survive this attack, and then with all of my speed I strike Aaron with the attack, the attack was extremly powerful and used a big amount of energy to use and so despite Aaron's efforts to survive it, he was knocked back dozens of meters by my attack, eventually he crashed to the floor causing a pretty deep crater to occur, and essence had come out of the hole, the other two looked horrified to see their leader get killed like that, Nozomi was starting to reach her limits and so they manage to finally execute the plan they were trying to enact from the start, Alexander holds Nozomi down and lifts up his weapon at her head, he gestures to cedric to "go on".
"Stop fighting us or we'll kill your sister!"
"You bastards! How dare you take a hostage."
I was furious, beyond livid, but I did not dare do anything in fear that they would kill her.
The hawk had returned to them as they stood holding her hostage, what was I gonna do? How can I save her?
"If you want to save her, then you're gonna have to follow us to the town in order to be captured."
Damn it, there is no other choice is there? I'm gonna have to do as they say if I wanted to save Nozomi.
"Fine, I acce-"
But I was interrupted by Nozomis voice
"Rai! Close your eyes!"
I was confused, but I do as she says, a bright flash of light appears,it was so bright that I could see it even with my eyes closed, I start hearing the people struggling because their eyes were blinded by the light, I wasn't about to miss this opportunity so I charged them and shot them with light beams, the light beam hits Alexander in the heart and finishes him off but the other was remaining, only Cedric and the hawk were alive now, Cedric had only one arm and was heavily injured, and the hawk had some injuries and was slowly running out of energy, it was now time to end this once and for all, I use lightning technique to fire a lightning bolt towards Cedric which grazes him, the graze shocked him but it didn't cause any of his body parts to get cut, the bird tries to attack me with its talons to save some energy, that was a big mistake,because as soon as it swoops down on me, I hold it down with my tails and then I finish it off with a lightning technique to its head and absorb its essence.
Only Cedric remained now, but he had practically lost his will to fight, seeing all his comrades and friends get killed like that made him not want to even defend himself anymore and he just sat there waiting for death.
"Come on you bastard, finish me off, kill me so you can get a request placed on you so that someone else may have revenge on you for what you did to my friends."
I was completely silent, I couldn't think of anything to say back to him, I look away from him and then fire a lightning bolt towards him, soon the feeling of essence being absorbed fills me up, but it doesn't feel like an accomplishment, it instead feels like mockery, I had now killed people for the first time in my life, but what was even more frightening than that was that I didn't feel as terrible as I thought I would, I had just felt the same as when I completed any other battle, was I completely alright or did my body changing into a fox change me in more ways than one?
I was deep in thought and couldn't hear or think of anything else but what I had done, the more I thought about it the more terrible I felt, I wanted to run away from here, every look at this location showed the carnage I caused, until I couldn't take it anymore and I had fallen to the floor unconscious.
