Chương 17: Fooling Around

I lay there, feeling a little sleepy and drowsy.
Before I rouse myself up. As I walk down to the kitchen, I'm greeted with a surprise, someone is already cooking breakfast?
To be precise Violet? I didn't know she could cook, so I should prepare for the worst.
As I sneak up behind her I see her eyes see me, but she pretends that she didn't catch anything, so I continue to prowl before her...
Before finally pouncing on her back and viewing the breakfast.
'Not bad' I think while my hands grab onto her shoulder.

Then I gaze at the rabbit, and my hand, slowly shaking slowly advances towards the rabbit, and I slowly eat it with the broth and mushrooms [Typo: Marshmallows]
My eyes roll to the back of my head and I begin to eat the food in front of me with a speed that's unheard of for me.

I lay there, letting a big burp, "Food Coma... That dragon... she's gonna make me lose my decent waistline..."
Violet, still grinning, picks up my bowl and asks, "Seconds?"
I gawk, and with some effort, shakes my head.
Violet nods and tells Sasha to have the rest, which she eagerly has.
As I walk outside, I'm greeted with another piece of scenery, nature? Weren't we in the slums?
I turn around and see that our 'building' is a tent?
'Ehhhh?' How does that work?! "Hey SASHA!" I call out
She walks out, "What is it, Commander?"
"There's a big problem here... WHY are we in NATURE but an interior of your HOUSE?!"
"Oh, I learned it in a book on basic spells while we were at the library, also, we are not that far from Auburn, so in case you would like to return we can still go."
"And how did we get here? Teleportation?"
"I'm sorry, Commander. I'm not capable of using such spells yet, the Dragon carried you here."
This time I wait for Violet to get outside, after all, she probably can't hear something that doesn't move...

"Master? Where is my reward? Was it not good enough?"
She walks outside and I jump on her, this time, she hopefully didn't sense me...
She abruptly turns around and I'm met with the pillows, which I instinctively press into, until I hear a purr, I let go and look up to see a blushing Violet blushing at me, fiercely, and I start to feel a little concerned.
I pull away and say, "Nice job on the breakfast, it was a little heavy for breakfast, but aside from that, it was excellent.

I go on my toes and pat her head, before turning around and look at the scenery.
The ocean still calm like this is an enclosed lake, with no disturbances, which I think is peculiar for something that large.
On top of a hill, with a good viewpoint on the city of Auburn, as well as the small villages far away, so far actually, they were small dots, so small actually, that you had to squint to see the fires.

Violet POV
As I transform into a dragon I begin to head towards the town that was burning, with a closer look, the sign read, "West Store" and lo and behold, it was burning, from what though?
I peer around the area looking for what could've burned it, finding some bandit camps, but nothing so large that they could successfully attack a village.

After roughly an hour of searching I decide to return to Master, there was no force large enough to actually attack a village.

Cao Tai POV
After Violet tells me the news and that there was an abundance of bandits in the vicinity of the town, but no single band large enough to actually take one village down, I come to the simple conclusion that they simply banded together and attacked en masse.
Now may be a good time to get some renown, money, and some experience to upgrade to Stage 3 in the Human Cultivation Realm.
