Chương 102: Fate Jump Chapter
After processing everything I learned from my interdimensional snack attack, and the subsequent attempt from the Oghma Infinium to make my brain leak through my ears by giving me a deep dive into the modern magic system of this world, I looked around at the pissed off and horrified faces of the women around me and gave the nod as I went down to the basement of this house of horrors to lay down some divine fire of judgement.
I won't describe the bullshit that goes on in this house, but Madara Uchiha would give the nod to my demigod version of the majestic destroyer flame as I unleashed a sea of fire with the intent to turn everything in this house into a fine ash that the wind could pick up and scatter to the four corners of the earth.
I emerged from the conflagration to find Jack holding a mirror out to me and I willed my Rc cells to hold open a cut on my wrist as I quickly created a summoning circle. A short and edgy incantation later had a long and voluptuous woman in light BDSM gear with a full blindfold and lavender hair to her ankles appeared before me riding a glowing white Pegasus.
"Servant Rider has appeared to fight in this Grail War." She declared.
"Well that worked out." I sighed, "This night has been shitty enough as is."
Nearby the family car blared DMX's X Gon' Give It To Ya as Kat and Wanda laid a lethal beat down on Shinji Matou. Linda had pulled aside the girl, Sakura Matou, and was working some of her newly gained magic to finish the job we did on the master of the house, Zouken.
I'd eaten some nasty shit in my day, and Zouken took first place in worst shit ever. The fact that the man now lived on eternally as a part of us made it worse. But hey, we gained centuries of knowledge and the raw power of one of the most potent magi to walk the earth after the Age of the Gods ended. That was just the starting point for me and Jack as our previous magical prowess boosted the number of magic circuits our bodies formed.
"This world fucking sucks." I announced, "A lot of assholes running around in need of a last beat down, and we are uniquely certified in fucking people up."
"I will carry out your will, master." Rider assured me as she aetherialised her mount and walked with me to the girl watching her half brother rapist getting stomped to death.
"Stop!" she cried out, "Please stop."
"No." I denied, "Finish it up."
Kat's armored boot came down, crushing Shinji's head to paste.
I grabbed Sakura's head and peeled her closed eyelids back.
"Look." I grinned, "Your whole life has been a non-stop horror story, but not the credits are rolling girl. Casual cruelty met brutal power and came up short, like it always does. Now why don't you sleep and be content. When the gods send you a blessing, you don't ask why it was sent."
A quick spell and the oncoming firefighters and rubbernecks completely ignored the family car while we drove away.

"Why are we just waiting here?" Kat asked as we lurked outside of the Ryuudou Temple.
"We're picking up another piece of the puzzle." I answered.
We only waited a few more hours for the fading Caster Servant, Medea, to show up.
"An easy kill, master." Medusa commented while materializing the nail like daggers she wields on the ends of chains.
"Kat's got this." I told her, "She is unbound, an easy pick up for our team. I would like you to slay the man coming up the path behind her."
"Right away." Rider ran off to do grisly murder on a retired grisly murderer.
Medea didn't need much convincing to join up with the winning team, and with Kat supplying her with power she magically convinced the monks running the temple to embark on a great pilgrimage, giving us just over two weeks with the most magically dense area in the city to prepare for our domination of this Grail War.

My link to the Oghma Infinium allowed Hermaeus Mora to gain knowledge from other worlds, and in return he would send us everything he learned about the magic or rogue skills a world has to offer. It was why Jack was so fucking stealthy and able to convince rowdy anti-establishment groups to establish a group that makes young men train for war naked until they have proven their worth to society. It was also why I was the most knowledgeable person on the subject of magecraft in all of this iteration of Fate.
Now that may not sound all that impressive because of the True Magics and the Magic from the Age of the Gods, but modern magic isn't actually as limited as the common mage would think. It is just that there are no easy shortcuts. It's why all the mages aspire to enter the Root, so they can cheese their way to ultimate power like I have. Well, not ultimate power as that is a very real possibility in this verse, but mighty impressive power none the left. Besides Zouken's massive knowledge base, the Oghma Infinium helped me master Wishcraft, Jewelcraft, Runecraft, Alchemy such as Transmutation, Flash Air, Thought Partitioning and Acceleration, Black Magic, Healing Magic, Elemental Magic, the list goes on and on.
I may not even be close to the top of the Fate hierarchy, but there is a damn far bit of space between me and the bottom.
I'd carried on Zouken's attribute, Absorption, but I can be damn sure that I embody it more than he did. I am far more happy about my Origin, War. All I can say is fuck yeah. Because of that all my offensive and defensive magic is ramped up and that doubles for spells meant to drain targets. The Hammer of Might actually purred when I picked it up for the first time after coming to this verse, and the speed of its stamina draining ramped up to eleven in my hands.
I went HAM enhancing our armor with Runecraft, and while not as impressive per spent surface area as the Primordial Runes Cu Chulain has, they did their job of amping up the protection of our gear, specifically in absorbing power both physical and magical to further empower the defenses of the suit.
I applied the same concept to golem making in an attempt to buy time in case we encounter a wandering Gilgamesh. I created your typical large shield barring golems to take a solid beating, but also a large number of what were essentially shields on legs that would leapt between us and oncoming ranged attacks. Their absorption enchantments would hopefully take some of the edge off of Gil's nastier treasures.
My last contribution to the Temple's defenses were a series of absorption cannons that fired continuous beam attacks that would absorb anything in their area of effect, once more hoping to sap power out of Gil's offensive.
All of this was powered by a city wide field enacted by Caster that would pull from the inhabitants of the city to operate. She even tied that field to a barrier at the heart of the Temple we can retreat to if Gil choses to throw Ea out. He can't actually break the world with it as he doesn't have near the power of his maximum form, but he could easily delete the mountain we are on, so better safe than sorry.
I am sure the citizens of Fuyuki would proudly give their lives to ensure the survival of the God Emperor of Krogankind.
All in all I felt pretty good about things when I had Medea summon the Epic Spirit, Assassin to guard the gate of the temple, and all I needed to do was wait a little bit to selectively enact bits and pieces of Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's feel to get the EZPZ victory.
Should have put more faith in the theme of this world rather than good planning.
