Chapter 124: Terrifying Power

I looked at my main crew and I have to admit, they looked very good. We no longer were those people who had to run around the new world and be careful, hiding in the dark. I was very proud of them, especially Negan and Raynare, they had been with me from the beginning.
That sense of pride immediately went away as I saw Negan again. He walked with his back hunched, electricity crackling around him and with the face of a loan shark. The stronger it seems he gets the more his appearance resembles that of a criminal. I have known the man for years and he just seems to get more scummy looking each time we meet, even his whole vibe just screams 'Sketchy Guy' at this point.
Yamato on the other hand wore a demonic mask and robes that hid her body, yet even she looked more approachable than Negan. While she didn't act like Oden anymore, she still kept those clothes on. She just believed in her idol's ideologies and did not assume his identity.
Reiju on the other hand was normal in her pink raid suit, sending smirks towards an annoyed Raynare. Though the latter tried to keep calm, I could read her emotions through Observation Haki. Did those two fight again?
Even as time passed, those two never seemed to patch things up. Though they didn't change at all appearance-wise, it felt like they had gotten closer? At least Reiju now even deliberately tries to be annoying to Raynare, before she just did it subconsciously.
Though their behavior said that they were enemies/rivals. I have seen them drink coffee and smile together before too. It's a very confusing relationship between them, and since it won't affect me negatively, I don't think too much about it.
"S -Sorry Boss," another voice sounded through as Isuka. The girl who I had given the Shadow Fruit came through the entrance and she was breathing heavily. "I was playing with the kids. Kira was causing problems."
Kira, one of my kids, was always a little unruly. He was the kid that came between my and Raynare's union.
"Well, he listens to Gion, so it will be okay," I reassured her. This world, One Piece, had a bunch of bad fathers. It was rarely where there were any good fathers in the manga. At least I couldn't remember any at the top of my head. Maybe Vivi's father? But even then, he put his daughter in danger. So he was a semi-competent leader, but not a good father.
I didn't want to be on that bad father list. Plus, I wanted my kids to not be like me when they grow up. They aren't copies of me, so I leave their education to Gion and Isuka, who will teach them what's right and wrong.
Well, that was a long time in the future, something that I won't worry about. But my children must know of the consequences of their actions and understand how normal people feel. Only then can someone be great, what road they choose in the end doesn't matter.
I looked at Raynare, Kira was her kid too, hopefully, she didn't teach him something bad. She caught my gaze and looked to the side.
Okay.
She definitely taught them something irresponsible, so I will have to teach the kids better once I come back. "Anyway, Isuka, you will stay behind with Gion and the others to look after Wano. If something happens, tell me."
After saying that, I dismissed her with a casual wave of my hand and she rushed off again.
Currently, we were in Wano, since this place was pretty impossible to be conquered, it was a natural fortress. The only entry into Wano was through the waterfall, so no matter the number of enemies, if they came through there we could just knock them down easily.
The samurai had warmed up to me. Though they might not admire me as they did Oden, we had a good working relationship as I was still their Shogun who was kind and made sure no one in Wano went hungry.
Though, unlike the samurai, the people loved me. Oden had betrayed their expectations, so there was no reason to even love him that much.
Oh well, in a decade or so, the samurai will become loyal too. If they don't… Well, wars happen all the time, and some samurai dying on them admirably as warriors was a common occurrence.
"Anyway, why did you call us boss?" asked Negan, taking out a pair of sunglasses and putting them on. He then looked at me for approval.
I shook my head, they didn't suit him at all. Negan just didn't look like a guy with sunglasses. He seemed disappointed and took off his glasses with despair.
"My life is ruined now, I will never be able to become a scummy-looking guy with glasses." Muttered Negan disappointingly, dark clouds formed above his head as he crouched down and started drawing circles on the ground. His eyes were empty as if everything in life he ever cared about was crushed.
Over two years ago, I still remember him complaining about our philosophical talk. I have always been a very petty person.
Anyway, I ignored him crying and looked at the rest of my crew members with a bright smile. "We will be going to Punk Hazard, I need something from Caesar."
Raynare seemed confused by that. "Can't we just send someone else to do that? We usually send Ulti or Page One."
"No, this time it will be different." My smile became even wider. I just got a message from one of my contacts in Sabaody Archipelago that the Strawhats had resurfaced again.
Now this time, they hadn't been separated during the two years, and even before it either as they had all arrived together during the Marineford War. I wonder just how they have changed?

Not even an hour later and we had a ship full of sailors and we set sail. The ship was one of the remodeled ones that have been built to power up by electricity or fire. This way, their speed tremendously increased.
But as soon as the boat got close to the waterfall, Negan suddenly frowned. "Tch, Boss-man, some people are waiting for us at the bottom of the waterfall."
"Who are they?" I asked Negan, knowing that his Observation Haki had an extremely long-range and he could even hear people's voices.
"Scratchmen Apoo, Eustass Kidd, Basil Hawkings." Negan reported. "They have allied to take you down, but they don't know how to get up the waterfall and into Wano."
You know, being able to tell who people were just from their voices wasn't something someone of Negan's perceived intelligence can do. At best, he might have heard those people's voices in a recording and deduced their identities by the conventional those three were having right now.
It was these kinds of times that reminded me that he wasn't dumb, even though he did act very much braindead most of the time.
In the canon timeline, those three Supernovas attempted to ally to fight against Shanks, but Apoo betrayed them and Kaido came in.
Pretty much they got destroyed, but this time Kaido wasn't around and they formed an alliance successfully.
"Now that's interesting," I smiled, amused by how the situation had developed.
"No it isn't, you're just saying that to try and convince yourself that it's interesting. In actuality, you barely even need a half-hearted attack to eliminate those three pirates off the face of the earth." Negan said proudly as if he had accomplished something amazing. He liked to act smart every now and then, but he will get bored of it in a dozen or so minutes.
But his conclusion was wrong, he saw the situation from a normal point of view. He had no idea where I came from. So witnessing changes like this always helped me understand things better and try and comprehend the changes my actions have caused.
Sure, these guys allying successfully was a small change in comparison to some other things. But it was still very interesting.
On one hand, I wanted to kill the three naive pirates who thought they could handle me. But at the same time, I wanted these pirates to cause havoc in the New World and keep the Marines and World Government busy.
The only worthwhile pirate who could pose a danger to me on this side of the sea was Shanks. Even then, the guy was a pacifist and wouldn't care about my fight with the World Government. As long as I didn't want to go and destroy the world then he wouldn't care.
Shanks was someone who knew his place in the world and wanted to have fun. He won't risk his life fighting against me for nothing.
Still, though, there was a choice to be made now. Should I kill those pirates or let them leave?
Suddenly a realization dawned on me. The answer was quite simple.

Kidd, Hawkings, and Apoo were on their main ships leading the charge, they looked at the waterfall that was considered as the entrance to Wano, but they had no idea how to gain access to the entrance. There was a whole armada of ships behind them, the number of people here today exceeded twenty thousand.
"How the hell do we enter this place?!" Kidd was annoyed, they had spent the last two days here
"Chapapa~ we should consult some information brokers," Apoo suggested in his usual energetic voice.
"The information brokers we contacted had no idea, and those who knew were too scared to say anything." Killer calmly added by his captain's side.
"There is a 60% chance that the information brokers also warned Max that we had requested information on him." Said Hawkins using some pieces of straw that came out of his skin to hold up cards that measured possibilities.
"Tch! So he already knows?!" Kidd was even more annoyed now. "So this pretty much means that he thinks we aren't worth his time!"
Killer noticed his Captain getting agitated and tried to calm him down. "Captain, you need to-"
But his words were interrupted as suddenly a giant shadow settled over them. Looking up, the men couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"W -What the hell is that?!" Apoo, who usually had a happy-go-lucky demeanor, was terrified by what he saw. Even when he encountered Kizaru in Sabaody Archipelago… he hadn't felt like this. "Oy, oy, oy, you gotta be kidding me. What the HELL IS THAT MONSTROSITY?!!!"
Above them was a giant serpentine creature with the body of a western dragon, six bat-like wings, and nine heads like a hydra. But each head was that of a dragon.
The nine heads opened their mouths and drew in a huge amount of breath. Immediately the clouds became stormy and tsunamis rose from the sea. The giant creature above them had just taken a simple breath, but half of the armada's ships were overturned due to the giant waves.
Just when they thought things couldn't get worse, they noticed that each of the heads had gathered flames in their mouths and they hadn't even attacked yet.

BOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Fire beams rained down from the sky and the heavens seemed to turn red, it felt like the world was coming to an end. As flames hot enough to burn water rained down, within a split second the twenty thousand army that had been gathered by the four members of the Worst Generation was destroyed in an instant.
Kidd, Apoo, Killer, Hawkins… they saw something that even in their wildest dreams they couldn't imagine.
They witnessed a true monster in action, it was like the God of Destruction had descended on them… and they could do nothing to stop it.
