Chương 139: Artemis Needs No Help.
Kurayami stood in front of the near erupting volcano where Typhon was contained, but it was visible to see how much magic he was absorbing. The volcano was bubbling and close to exploding unleehing the father of monsters.
Next to him were his usual pair of Shin and Rebellion who were always at his side no matter the place. He was ontop of Tyrant who flew a few miles above Mout Saint Helens as he waited for Typhon to escape. Infront of him was Artemis who was looking at the volcano with squinted eyes
She remembered all those years ago when Zeus defeated Typhon as at the time it seemed impossible. Here she was now as she had told Kurayamin she was going to defeat him herself. He wanted to use this as a training exercise for his little death squad, but he allowed her.
He saw how confident she was and it looked like this was one of her sore spots. She members as she was forced to flee like a rat and she was here to make up for it. Rebellion gazed down and thought about it.
"I can see why you ran when you did in the past. If it my master before he became a super fallen angle he may have struggled."
Artemis sighed as she heard Rebellion try to cheer her up. She did not have to compliment Kurayami while she was at it.
"Thank you Rebellion, your kind words really help."
The weapon spirt chuckled.
"Your welcome."
Kurayami looked at Artemis as she was sitting down and meditating. She kept absorbing vast amounts of magic
"Are you confident Artemis?"
She nodded and opened her silver eyes.
"Of course I am. I would not suggest this if I thought I would need your help."
She got up and started to levitate over the volcano and did not draw her bow or knives. Kurayami thought about it and left her with a few words.
"Fine, I will step in if you get beat."
She shot him a glare as he was doubting her.
"Shouldn't you have faith in me?"
He nodded.
"I do, but I am being realistic. There is being brave, and being foolish. I say you are brave, show me that Cultivation Technique of yours in action."
She smiled with pride as she looked down at the volcano.
"You will be impressed."
*BOOOOOOOOM*
At that moment the volcano, but even the heat from it and the blast did not even move the giant Dragon. A deep roar of pure rage emerged from the volcano and storm clouds filled the sky.
Rebellion and Shin looked down with interest as they felt the aura of intimidation. It attacked the mind of the person facing Typhon to fear him as his parents were powerful Primordials
"Wow, he is actually pretty good. Not as good as you master."
She hugged his arm and started to smell him. He patted her head along with her horns as she was being clingy. At the same time he was appraising Typhon and frankly he was not impressed.
Neither was his demon familiar who shook his head in disappointment. Kurayami could hear his thoughts and it intrigued him.
'This is supposed to beTyphon, Father of monsters, and the Storm Giant? The strongest monster in all of Greek Mythology? This is nothing but a fake.'
Xargomoth who now could usually be found on Kurayami's shoulder looked down and he squinted his white eyes.
"How weak? Is that really Typhon? I don't belive it."
Kurayami looked at his best source of information about Hell and reality with interest. Hell was one of the dimensions that had a connection to all of them, so a being from it would have an interesting knowledge.
"I take there is one sealed in Hell or something correct?"
The demon nodded.
"Hell has many realms with powerful beings trapped inside. It ranges from demons, gods, monsters, and all manner of creatures. Sometimes, we demons would enter these realms for the hope of gaining some power from the being sealed."
Kurayami saw how powerful lightning coursed around his horns and it looked yellow. It gave off a powerful oprresive feel making him intrested in this realm of Hell.
"I almost died in the realm of Typhon, but I won in the end. I got a spark of his lightning and it served me well in Hell. I had the hope to evolve into a Greater Demon in Hell, but now I have you master. You are my catalyst to evolve."
Artemis shot the demon a look.
"Talk later, I need to focus."
They all got quite to look at how she was going to kill Typhon."
"ARRAGGGG. I AM FREE!"
The mountain exploded like a giant mass of storm clouds in the shape of a humanoid monster. Just from the aura it released, it was obvious this was a powerful being in this world.
Kurayami looked at Typhon and saw through the storm clouds and saw the monstrosity that he was. It was quite powerful as the storm control abilities were even greater then Zenith Tempest.
The sky for hundreds of miles filled with thunder, but Artemis did not look scared. When Typhon saw her floating in the sky he felt fate was giving him an easy kill.
"Where is your father? You ran like a coward last time while he faced me."
Artemis looked down at the giant and felt no fear. She raised her hand in the sky and used up her magic reserves to create 3 giant moons made of magic around her. As the goddess of the Moon, she got more power when she was in direct moonlight.
Her technique gave her the power to make more moons that would further empower her. She began to glow bright silver as an armor of moonlight appeared around her.
A large bow appeared in her hands, but no arrows. Kurayami looked at it with interest as he gave her an interesting offer.
"If you can finish it in one minute, I will give you anything you want. I mean, anything."
She already knew what she wanted so she was not going to stall anymore. She disappeared with how fast she was moving and Typhon felt a giant impact hit his chest. When he looked he noticed part of his real body was revealed as the storm clouds were dispersed.
He noticed a bright silver arrow stuck in his flesh,which caused great agony. Not only was it made from Celestial Bronze, but she had filled it up with her divinity.
It exploded like a giant moonlight bomb ripping a huge hole in his chest. He roared in agony and rage as he glared at Artemis who was still looking down at him. She saw how her attack actually worked so she knocked another one.
She started to fire arrow after arrow at every part of the giant. The eyes, the face, chest, arms, even his serpent feet, she left not a single part uncovered. Her energy reserves were nearly endless as the moons absorbed magic to feed her.
1,000 more arrows were shot by Artemis all within a second and when they all hit their target they exploded. Just watching how she was destroying Typhon piece by piece made Rebellion whistle.
Typhon was enraged as he started to regenerate from the vast number of wounds she had caused him. They were painful and he was blinded.
"YOU INSOLENT BITCH!"
Most of the storm clouds that covered his body were diapered and it was visible to see how grotesque his real body was. It was a mass of flesh with the parts of different monsters inside it.
Now it easy to see how full of injuries he was. It brought a smug smile on Artemis's face. She looked at Shin with a smile.
"Reload, shin."
The dog nodded and threw her over 1,000 arrows created from his ability. Artemis controlled all of them toward her and started to fire them all at Typhon. The giant charged into the sky toward her, but she just kept firing.
These were worse as they attacked hs very soul which in his case was his existence. He roared in agony, but he managed to slap her away into the air. She spat out some of her golden blood, but she only swiped her lips.
"That it?"
Typhon was enraged as she was more powerful than he remembered. Even Zeus did not dare take his attacks, but she shrugged it off easily. She fired several more arrows at Typhon, but the giant started to dodge and fire back.
Kurayami watched as they had a dog fight in the air as Typhon tried to shoot her out of the sky with lightning. She would dodge and launch exploding arrows at him which happened all within a fraction of a second.
She had the advantage as Shin's arrows were deadly weapons. Not to mention that she could see the holes that she had inflicted with her them were healing very slowly.
Each one exploded with enough power to level a city and more. For the first time Kurayami saw something new as she actually activated her divine form causing her skin to radiate moonlight.
It was so bright that Tyrant looked away for a second, but that just increased the power she could use. Kurayami looked at the giant moons in the sky that started to rotate and devour magic on mass which created another one.
She levitated as all 4 moons orbited around her. They resonated with her divinity causing her bow to turn into a pair of silver hunting knives. She charged toward Typhon with a unflinching expersioon.
"NOT A CHANCE!"
Typhon started to regenerate from the damage and charged up toward her, but she did not even react. She crossed her knives and she saw how he was ready to kill her.
She didn't care and said one word.
"Die."
She fired the arrow while Typhon grabbed a giant lightning bolt launching it at her. She slashed out with full power destroyed the lightning bolt and entered Typhon's skull.
Kurayami smiled as a giant attack cut the giant head of the giant in half. From it emerged Artemis as she wiped the nasty monster blood from her body.
"Gross."
The moons she created vanished as she took a deep breath. That used up a lot of magic and energy, but she had done it. She had beaten Typhon all on her own. Kurayami lifted his hand and ripped the soul out of Typhon.
It struggled and raged to save itself, but he just sealed it again. He jumped off Tyrant spread his wings. He flew in front of her with a smile as he was proud of her.
"You did it Artemis. Your wish, what is it?"
She deactivated her divine form as she floated into his arms. He held her in his arms as she smiled with a content look.
"I want you to come with me right now to meet my mother. That is all I want from you."
He nodded.
"If that is your wish, my lady."
She bit his chin as she got annoyed.
"Don't start with that. Now, let's go."
Kurayami looked at Tyrant as he waved the dragon.
"Go, explore all you want."
'Yes sir.'
The dragon flew off as Kurayami had allowed all his familiars free reighn to explore or do as they would. Most of them were keeping to themselves as they wanted to see more of the world.
Kurayami looked at the body of Typhon and he stored it along with the skull of Curruid he still had not used. He wanted to see if he could not use it in a ritual to resurect it, which was unlikely.
Rebellion and Shin floated in front of them and Rebellion thought of something.
"You know what, I won't be their to get in your way, but I am not leaving. Here."
She returned to her sword form as she floated to his back. He grabbed her blades and placed them on his back.
"Well Artemis, let's see your mother."
Artemis shook her head as she pointed at her blood covered clothes.
"Let me take a shower first."
He smiled and grabbed her.
"Nope."
He teleported to the current home of Leto with the intention to embress her. He saw a simple house in the Underworld. He felt the divinity inside which felt similar to Artemis, but very different.
Artemis did not want to meet her mother looking like this, but that choice was taken from her. Leto had rushed out when she felt her daughter as she had not seen either of her children in years.
She saw the bloodied clothes, but she did not care. She hugged her daughter tightly even if her dress was ruined by the blood of Typhon. She looked at Kurayami and grabbed his arm and hugged him as well.
She wrapped her arms around both of them and gave a genuinely happy smile. She already knew Artemis had gotten with someone, but this was the first time she had seen him.
She was just happy he could make her daughter happy and that was enough for her.
"I am glad to finaly meet you Kurayami."
He looked down at his mother in law and nodded.
"The pleasure is mine. Your daughter and son love you very much."
Artemis covered her eyes as she could not help but cry silently. Becuase of Hera it had been over many years since she could see her mother. Now that she was back with her, it made her feel like a little kid.
Leto smiled and let go of both of them.
"I want to hear how you two got together. Tell me."
Kurayami nodded.
"It's not a long story."
