KAI'S THOUGHTS SWIRL AROUND.
"What? You don't like the clothes I got you anymore?"
Aubrey turns around, "It's not that. I told you I just—"
Kai cuts her off, "No." His nostrils flare as he shoots her an angry look. "That has never been the case."
Aubrey bites her lips to control her emotions, also to keep her next words unsaid. She drops her gaze and enters into the closet to get changed.
Once she steps out from the closet with fresh new clothes, Aubrey sees Kai sitting on the bed with a hardened expression and his fists clenched beside him. She stands there for a few seconds as she looks at every corner of the room apart from the Greek god in front of her, unsure of what to do next in this awkward situation. The most unsettling thing is that she isn't even sure if she is still to use the term, 'Greek god', since it has been very much established that he isn't one.
"Are you…" Kai trails.
