Chương 24: My Eyes on your bat soup

As the night passed the morning took over, Kai woke up early before everyone in the house. He wandered here and there to find the washroom but after a bit of struggle, he found the door to the washroom.

He took a while in the restroom but as he came out, he was hungry as hell, he checked the kitchen in search of food but there was nothing to eat in the kitchen so his only option was to wake Killian up.

"Killian wake up! Killian wake up! Killian where are you! Huh! What's this? Were any windows open last night?" he roamed in the house to find Killian but instead of him, he found something else.

"Hmm so! This is a 'Bat' that came into the house last night! Hmm, so Kai what do you think isn't it a case of burglary! Well in such a condition what would a judge do? He'll punish of course! So in the eyes of Lord Kai, you're being sentenced to be cooked!!"

"Hahaha haha! I'll cook and eat you, it'll be enough for a breakfast" Kai was so blinded by hunger that he was going to cook a bat.

He turned on the stove and placed a pan, and poured hot oil in it. he was about to fry the bat.

"Here goes the bat in the pan yay!"

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! screams of pain filled the entire room.

"wha- what's happening? How!" I yelled in shock and fear

"How dare you try to cook and eat me? I'll kill you! You're dead"

"KILLIAN! Was it you!" I'M SORRY I DIDN'T KNEW YOU WERE THE BAT"

It turned out the bat Kai was about to cook was Killian in his bat form, Kai was shocked and frightened that he began to apologize to him while dodging the objects Killian was throwing at him.

"How dumb you can be? You didn't know a vampire or Dhampir sleeps in a bat form? And how savage one can be that he tried to eat a bat" Killian yelled.

"I'M SORRY KILLIAN! AND STOP THROWING THINGS, PEOPLE AT MY PLACE EAT BATS !! THAT'S NOT MY FAULT!!" I cried out

"SHUT UP!"

"How can people eat bat at your place, don't they know after eating a bat there can be a virus outbreak and you know that could infected the whole continent and all your adventures would've ended right away and you would have spent your lockdown writing something too!" Killian yelled.

"You sick bastard I'll kill yo—"

Knock... Knock...

Someone was on the door while Kai and Killian were fighting

"yes, who's ther—"

the visitor pushed the door a bit and It got wide open

"Uh sorry for the door, I'm Lee ouroboros I'm here to pick Kai and Sabi—"

Lee who stood on the door said only one thing after watching the scene inside the room.

"WHAT THE FUCK!!!"

Kai was naked in his boxer with a soup pan helmet on his head and a stick as a sword while Killian was naked and had just wrapped a towel on his waist.

"Leeeee! helppp meeee he's beating me!!!" Kai ran to Lee crying.

"Oye!!! Stop lying you're the one who tried to kill me!!!" Killian spoke in his defense

Lee laughed so violently after hearing the whole story of Kai and Killian, he comforted Kai who told him he was abused while Killian sat there with a pissed off face.

After all the things it was time for Kai and Sabir to leave.

"Kai, you had an interesting start to the day?" Lee mocked Kai

"Yeah, yeah, think whatever you want! Hmph" Kai tried to act as he didn't care but deep down he was embarrassed as hell.

"Haha, how funny it is I'll ask Rose to Always stack your food rack, haha man you're Surpassing Skyler!!" Sabir joked and teased Kai.

"Haha very funny Sabir, by the way, I guess what Skyler is doing right now I haven't seen her in a few days!" Kai exclaimed.

"Yeah, I noticed she is a bit low since the day we crossed the forest of strangers I guess she might be stressed maybe she needs some time alone " Sabir spoke looking at tall trees that came into their way.

"Hmm, well Kai do you remember what's tonight?" Lee asked Kai to check him

"Huh! No is it someone's birthday?" Kai answered in a reckless way as Lee had expected.

"Kai stop it, be serious at least for your life! Today is the "Verification ceremony" you have to participate in! How can you forget it, please Kai don't take it lightly, you could die! And I don't want you to die" Lee tried to explain Kai the seriousness of the event, he was so worried that it was written on his face.

"Lee, I understand how tensed you're right now but please have some faith in me, I can do this !" Kai tried to calm the pressure in the atmosphere.

"I'll pass the verification tonight and I'll show everyone how worthy their new king is!"
