Chương 30: MYSTERIOUS DOCTOR
Callista suddenly thought of her first question about who this girl was, "Uhmm, Biserka, do you mind if I ask you something?"
Biserka stopped her drinking for a moment, "No, just ask."
"Are you Benvolio's mistress or Pavlo's lover? Or both of them?" Callista said with her silly and straight-to-the-point question.
Biserka choked---even though there was no more water running down her throat---hearing Callista's ridiculously words. "Oh, come on, do I look that kind of girl to you?"
"What kind of girl do you mean, Bis?" asked Callista, who did not understand Biserka's answer.
"The girl who became the secret lover of a mobster and his assistant?" Biserka clarified her meaning.
Callista shrugged her shoulders and pursed her lips, "Yeah … maybe?" she answered with hesitation.
"Goddamn! What's on your mind, Callista?! What a pair of brothers and sisters who can make people hang themselves," Biserka said, frustrated.
"So, is what I said true, Bis?" Callista asked again, without feeling guilty and understanding what she was asking Biserka.
"ARE YOU LOOK FOR DEATH?! OF COURSE NOT, IDIOT!" Biserka shouted, which made Callista a little surprised and shuddered with horror at the girl in front of her.
"Ah, okay. Alright, calm down. I'm just asking and making sure about that. You don't have to scream like that next time," she said.
Tet ... tet ... tet ....
Biserka's apartment bell suddenly rang again.
"Who's coming, Bis?" Callista asked, turning towards the door.
Biserka shook her head, not knowing who had come. "Just look through the gap in the door and ask through the voice link connected to the bell." Biserka pointed to the gap in the door, and the sound connector that stuck to the wall near the door.
"Alright," said Callista.
Callista peeked at who had come to Biserka's apartment through the small gap in the door. She found two men dressed in doctor's coats with equipment in their hands. "There is another doctor who came. But this time two people and both are men," Callista said, reporting to Biserka.
"Another doctor? Strange. Do they look suspicious?" Biserka asked from her living room sofa.
Callista looked back at the two male doctors and shook her head, "There is nothing suspicious about them other than the contents of the medical equipment they brought."
"Why suspicious? Of course, because I do not know the contents," she continued to explain.
Callista looked back at the two doctors through the small gap in the door and was surprised when one of the doctors suddenly pulled out a gun from his coat pocket.
"Holy shit, Biserka! One of them pulled out a gun!" said Callista panicked when she saw one of the men dressed as a doctor pull out a gun from his pocket.
Biserka suddenly gasped hearing that. She then hurriedly went to her workroom to get her weapon and packed up all the CIA's important stuff and files and all things related to the 'monster lair'.
"Callista, can you buy some time for me? These files are too many for me to pack quickly," Biserka said, shouting a little so that Callista could hear her clearly.
"Ah, how can I buy time? Shouldn't we call Benvolio and Pavlo?" Callista answered with a worried tone of voice and was very panicked.
"Well, don't take too long. For now, you stay away from the door. Just in case if they shoot at the door. And yes, try to contact Pavlo and Benvolio while I'm packing these files," Biserka replied and got busy again.
Callista, who heard that, tried to contact Benvolio immediately. But there was no answer from him. She then tried to contact Pavlo. But the result is still nil. There was no answer either from Pavlo, "Oh come on, you guys stupido!" Then she remembered Pavlo's words saying he kept a handgun in the drawer near the TV. She immediately ran to the living room of Biserka's apartment and directly looked for the drawer Pavlo was referring to.
After a while, she finally found the drawer in question and also found a handgun and ammunition. She immediately reloaded her gun. Callista had no trouble filling it because she had been taught to use various weapons by her father from a young age. Of course, because the Constanzo family is a mafia family, each member must be good at using weapons and fighting.
Callista panicked to see the two mysterious people who carried the weapon because it was the first time she had faced a criminal face to face. Usually, all problems like this have been resolved by Benvolio or her father.
