POV: Ren
Our teammates were decided by the base itself. They would read our personal data and make a suitable team according to the data.
" So let's begin with the first team."
The teacher was calling out the names but I didn't care about other teams. I don't even know anyone here anyway.
"And now the 5th team." Four teams were already made. Each team had 5 people in it. There were 40 new recruits here. So there will be 8 teams altogether.
"Ren!" The teacher called out my name. So I instantly knew my team was the 5th one.
"Tyler, Green, Ruby and Maria!" The teacher mentioned each of my teammates names. But I didn't know a thing about them.
From what I've seen, Maria was a beautiful, optimistic and cheerfull girl. That's all I knew about her.
Green was also that cheerfull and open guy. He seemed like the friendliest one to me.
Ruby was just your typical shy girl. But I know those type of people are the suspicious ones. They hide everything and act like a shy and weak person to take advantage of other people.
And lastly, Tyler. He was the most suspicious and also seemed dangerous. He was not like a gang leader or something but I had no idea how he acted. Of course I could be wrong about the others as well but those were the personalities they showed others to.
But what were we supposed to do as a team. I know that we have to work together after the one year training but what were we supposed to do now. I didn't knew anything about that.
The teacher was introducing the other teams. Everyone was listening carefully to him. I was the only one who was not paying any attention then. Then I looked at that suspicious Tyler guy. He was living in his own world though. I found him unusually interesting though.
I only interacted with 10 people in my life until I was here. So you could say I am like a child with no experience in life till now. There were 7 other kids with me and the three adults. I was oddly living happily or at least I think I was happy till the age of 9. But that was only because I never knew anything about this world. So I invested myself in different books. I read countless books that were in the library. Those books taught me about the world, Pokemons, history and Pokemon hunters.
That was when I decided to leave that place and find a life I want to live with. That's when I started to think differently. A single thought completely changed my life.
I also wanted to interact with more people even though I didn't know how. I think I wanted to understand humans and understand more about myself.
And just like that, the class ended. I was again lost in my own thoughts. But this time it seems like I missed something important.
The class was scattering into their respective teams. So it seemed like I missed something very very very important. So what should I do now? I'm back to square one.
Hmm...should I say hello to someone from my team? Yeah, that will surely work for me to extract the information from them. But can I do it? I have no other chance anyway so I will do it.
I didn't know whom to approach first. So I approached the most talkative guy, Green.
"Huh!"
But someone was already with him. It was that Tyler guy. Now it was more difficult for me. I look at the cheerful girl but... she was also talking with that shy girl.
Huh? Did they know each other? And why aren't they approaching me? Did I get my team wrong or something? I don't even know what the teacher said to the class?
