Sofia, Rania, Maria, and Jane exchanging glances between one another. They stared at the pointy needle in Jane's hand and their fingers.

"Must we prick our finger with the needle?" Maria swallowed her saliva. "Didn't it hurt?"

"It's only a prick on your finger, dumbass. We only need a drop of blood from you." Sofia replied.

"Why must we sacrifice our blood, though? Somehow, it's similar to a black metal ritual." Rania frowned.

"I heard to ensure the effectiveness of the chant. Evil spirits are especially attracted to human blood, like a vampire. To them, blood is as precious as a wine to humans. Or maybe, a delicacy for them?" Jane unhesitatingly pricked her thumb with the needle. A thick red liquid appeared, and she dropped it on the coin in the bowl. "Your turn."

"Are you sure it's okay?" Maria's face turned pale. She hates needles and injection needles! Those things brought unpleasant trauma to her.
