Chương 39: Outsmart
Nisha comes to the living room where the entire family is seated. She asks Agni to help her make food in the kitchen, " Agni my dear,I know we are not in good terms right now... but am making everyone's favourite food and you know the ingredients better than me...let's put the past behind us now and do it for the family "
Salma volunteers to help Nisha in the kitchen but Nisha refuses and insists Agni help her. Agni senses that Nisha is up to no good but decides to go to the kitchen anyways. Agni does most of the work concerning cooking and baking until she is done. Nisha tries to find a way to send Agni out of the kitchen, " I have to persecute my plan,but how do I do it when this girl is here...yes I have an idea...uhm Agni, I forgot to get some scent leaves from the garden will you get them for me please"
Agni goes to the backyard, she calls Denis over the phone and gives him a task to do within 45 minutes. As Agni is still out of the kitchen, Nisha adds two cups of salt to each dish of food cooked by Agni and applies spicy oil to the baked pastry. She starts to think of how her plan will work wonders, " this is a full proof plan,everyone especially Matteo will be so mad at dear Agni "
Agni walks in and Nisha pretends not to have done a thing. Denis sends Agni a message about the task she assigned him. Agni also starts to wonder how she will make Nisha step out of the kitchen for a while, " I have to make Nisha leave for the kitchen for at least 10 minutes "
Agni gets a bowl of baking flour,she pretends to sprain her ankle and she spills the whole flour on Nisha. She gets dirty from head to toe becoming completely white that only her shiny evil eyes are seen. Nisha shouts at Agni, " you foolish girl can't you see where you are going! "
Agni tells Nisha she sprained her ankle whilst laughing, this make Nisha even more angry. Nisha leaves the kitchen and as she is passing the living room, the family starts to laugh at her,Ishan also makes fun of her," wow this is epic,you look scary,like a ghost, woooo am a ghoost"
Nisha storms off in anger and vows to make Agni and Ishan pay. As she is in her room,she continuously mutters to herself while changing her clothes and cleaning herself up. Denis manages to sneak into the kitchen, where him and Agni accomplish their plan. Nisha comes back to the kitchen and almost sees Denis their but he escapes. The ladies serve everyone at the lunch table. Tony sees the big smile on Nisha's face and questions why she is so happy, " Nisha? you seem to be so happy, why?"
Nisha cooks up a big lie," father am just happy that for the first time, I worked in the kitchen with my sister in-law it was a pleasure "
Everyone starts to eat from their plates. Nisha anxiously awaits to see everyone spit out the food and for Matteo to shout at Agni. But shockingly, everyone starts to praise Agni,"wow Agni the food is so tasty and delicious "
Nisha's face turns to confusion. She leaves the table with an excuse to visit the bathroom, Agni also leaves the table with an excuse to make a call. Nisha throws pillows around her room, " how on earth did my plan fail, I can swear that Agni didn't know of my plan,so how did it backfire, how did salty food suddenly turn sweet and how did spicy food become okay,no its impossible "
Agni walks into Nisha's room, " hello my darling Nisha, you are wondering how the food changed so quickly and fast, I saw what you did when I left the kitchen, I didn't go to the garden immediately, I stood by the door, you asking me to help you in the kitchen wasn't genuine. You must have noticed me giving you instructions while cooking but they weren't for you. I asked someone to cook a similar dish,when you left the kitchen to clean yourself up...I packed the salty and spicy food therefore replacing it with the proper food,smart right? "
Agni leaves Nisha alone. Nisha is left disappointed to the fact that she didn't play her cards well. She vows to make Agni pay for sure next time.
