Chương 37: Light Eater

The only way to kill a semi-immortal like Piwood was to physically destroy him repeatedly until he couldn't recover.

However, Abyss Dominator could overcome that difficulty with ease. The ice magic that the Abyss Dominator used could stop the recovery of anything under the influence of his magic.

Abyss Dominator only needed a few minutes after freezing the semi-immortal creature's shattered body to make it die.

In the end, Piwood could only bow before the Abyss Dominator. He was simply resigned. One direct hit from the Abyss Dominator would immediately kill him.

"Ice Spear!" A spear measuring 150 cm flew in front of Piwood's face and shot off.

"I'll leave the rest to you, My King." In a low voice, Piwood closed his eyes and waited for his death. At least he had the pride of dying in carrying out Evan's duties.

Piwood's body shattered instantly as the spear pierced him. An ice spear capable of destroying a Greater Demon's Wooden Shield with ease.

That was what should have happened after the Abyss Dominator cast his magic. But the unexpected happened when the Abyss Dominator was about to proceed to finish off Lucia.

His eyes widened when he saw that Piwood was still in the state he was before he threw his ice spear.

"W-what happened?" Abyss Dominator's common sense couldn't figure out the cause of the thing that happened to his magic.

Not wanting to waste time, Abyss Dominator immediately cast his ice spear again. But a strange thing happened to his magic again.

The Ice Spear he made suddenly turned into dust particles that were blown away by the wind. Abyss Dominator repeated his magic dozens of times, and dozens of times, the incident kept repeating itself.

"Anti-magic? Who used it?!" He still couldn't believe that his magic was canceled using anti-magic.

Supposedly if one used anti-magic, they had to be of a higher class than Greater Demon to cancel the magic of the Abyss Dominator.

The boy thought that Lucia did all this, because she might be able to use the Anti-magic skill. But it couldn't possibly affect him since her class was below Greater Demon.

The boy was also sure it wasn't the weak Tree Man who used the Anti-Magic Skill that nullified his magic. Then the thing that crossed his mind was, who activated this Anti Magic and had a class above Greater Demon?

The boy's entire body was suddenly enveloped in a chill that he had never felt before… A sudden feeling arose when a black aura, which was far darker than the night, began to spread throughout the forest area.

That aura seemed to eat up the moonlight illuminating the Dark Forest just like the Abyss Monster did.

"Lucian!! Are you not satisfied before your target of revenge dies?!" The voice that buzzed throughout the pitch-black forest spread terror to anyone who heard it.

"Who are you?! How do you know my real name?!" Abyss Dominator tried to find the origin of the voice calling his real name. But without using magic, he had a hard time doing it because the sound was buzzing from all sides.

"You forgot your own King's voice? Maybe looking back you'll remember it."

The Abyss Dominator innocently followed the mysterious voice's command to look behind him.

Unexpectedly, a pair of Golden Eyes Beams stared straight into the Abyss Dominator's blue eyes.

"Paralyzing Evil Eyes!"

In just seconds, the Abyss Dominator felt numbness in his body and fell to the ground without knowing what had happened to him.

"I-I can't move!! My King died 1000 years ago... No way... he still..." Only his mouth was able to function as his body went numb.

He felt that the words of the mysterious voice were just bluffing him up. Still, when the pair of Golden Eyes Beams peered closer to look at him directly at a very close distance, the Abyss Dominator's lips began to tremble.

"Fearful Evil Eyes!"

After his body was immobilized, now his mind began to fill with fear that made the Abyss Dominator scream in fright.

"T-True Dragon King?!" His eyes widened, and his tears continued to flow. At him's lowest position, he looked directly at the tiny dragon's eyes in his true form of a True Dragon King due to the effects of the Fearful Evil Eyes.

"Even though you look like a child, I will not forgive you because you have used the Lamia Clan for your own benefit. Even dying would not be enough to avenge Liselis' death."

"I-I'm sorry, True Dragon King. I'll do anything to pay for that... I-I'll stop targeting Lucia... But please forgive me."

Abyss Dominator actually felt the little dragon in front of him emit genuine fear, which made him unable to stop trembling. He had just realized that no one could give such a sensation of fear apart from the True Dragon King, the King of a third of the land.

"Hey, why are your guts so shriveled up? Whereas earlier you called me a pet, and now you're begging me for forgiveness?" Evan was really annoyed with the behavior of the Abyss Dominator, who suddenly became a beggar.

"I'm sorry, even though I previously felt your aura but because I was too focused on my revenge, I forgot about you." Abyss Dominator lied that he sensed the aura of the True Dragon King from Evan.

"You lie?"

*Slap*

A hard slap with his paw landed on the boy's cheek. Because he was in the Anti Magic area, which negates all magic, including defensive magic. Evan's hard slap really hurt the Abyss Dominator's cheek.

"No, I'm telling the truth-"

*Slap*

Evan continued to slap the second to the tenth until Abyss Dominator admitted that he was telling a lie.

"O-okay, I admit that I lied... Indeed I didn't feel your aura... But, please forgive me." The Abyss Dominator was terrified as the final slap nearly made his poor cheek even more swollen.
