Chương 39: Scare Her Aunt Away

Kang Mao Yao's face turned red when she heard what Yu Yan said. She looked at the young woman in front of her hatefully. "Looking at the mine? Heh, you're just dreaming if you think that you can own this mine! What, are you now jealous of us?"

Yu Yan merely looked at her aunt with indifference. She had long known that Kang Mao Yao had 20 percent share of AB mine, which gave her a lot of money to squander. Compared to her who could only have a few thousands, it was truly a drop in the ocean.

However, why should she care about that?

"Aunt, did you forget that Grandfather stated that I can have the leftover 5 percent share of profit should I get married before 28 years old? Do you think that it's an impossible request?" Yu Yan retorted back. Her grandfather died around a year ago and at that time, he was lamenting the fact that Yu Yan was still alone even though she was already in her mid-twenties.

She knew that her grandfather was worried about her, so he put such request in the will. Even though she never had much interest to fulfil it, she would not show it in front of her aunt and annoying family members.

"What? You're just a single woman who tried to snatch Xin'er boyfriend! You're such a despicable woman who will even destroy your sister happiness, so what can't someone like you do?"

Snatch Yu Xin's boyfriend?

Yu Yan's eyes turned even colder. Just whose boyfriend Bao Tu used to be? Yu Xin? How laughable.

"Heh, Hahaha!"

Kang Mao Yao, who was prepared to chide Yu Yan until the very end, was stunned when he heard the woman laughed. She looked with bewilderment while Yu Yan sent her a mocking gaze.

"Is that what Kang Mao Lan said to you?" Yu Yan didn't even bother addressing that person as her mother. She felt so vexed that a woman like that was her birth mother.

"Do you know that you've been had. Listen carefully, Bao Tu was my boyfriend and it was Yu Xin who snatched him from me. You think I'm just kidding around? Why don't you try to ask some people who did he bring to the party back then?" Yu Yan asked mockingly.

Even though she was so disgusted by the name Bao Tu now, she still didn't want the label of third party to land on her. Third party? Who's the real third party, huh?

Back when she was dating Bao Tu, they had been to some parties and met some upper society young masters. They already knew that she was the one introduced as Bao Tu's boyfriend back then. Where was Yu Xin?

She was not even in the picture.

Yu Yan looked at Kang Mao Yao and sneered. "Before smearing other people's name, why don't you bring the proof out first? You're just being used by Kang Mao Lan who spread nonsense but you didn't even realize it yet. As someone who spend most of your time in parties, how could you not know that the ones hated the most are those who spread lies?"

Kang Mao Yao's face turned pale. She was the first daughter and also the second child in Kang Family. Because she had a brother who would always shield her, she grew up to be a person who loved parties. Since money was never a problem, she didn't even change and still hosted countless parties almost every single day and participated in numerous occasions.

"Open your eyes and try to search for the truth first. Being used by other people so easily, are you not ashamed of yourself?" Yu Yan snorted. She turned her body around. "Oh, and stop bothering me when you didn't have any connection with me. Stop being shameless and act as an elder when you have never been one in the first place."

"Yu Yan! Don't go overboard!"

"Overboard?" Yu Yan looked at Kang Mao Yao up and down. "Someone like you who didn't even want to care for her own daughter and spend her time partying all year long, do you even deserve to be called an elder?"

This time, Kang Mao Yao had no more words to reply.
