Chương 95: *Hidden*.

(Title at the end.)

(Cultivator POV)

As I grabbed a hold of myself, a silently curse escaped from my mouth. I had been so focused on my opponent that I hadn't been keeping a close look at myself. The pagoda was agitated since we arrived, barely stopped from lashing out at the chakra around me, so the moment the pagoda sensed danger from Kei it immediately retaliated… the problem being the retaliation caused way more damage than Kei ever could in that state.

Feeling my QI become constricted, I noticed how the chakra grew more and more agitated around me. Any shinobi in the vicinity would sooner or later discover it so I had to go, but as I made to move, a second cry came from the crow, this one much more powerful as a chakra wave washed over the village.

The wind picked up as it gently rushed through the streets. Evidently, the crow didn't unleash much chakra, it merely unleashed it in a violent manner.

'But why? To send them after me? He should know it would make no difference even if they all come, even if I let them catch up to me. So why?'

It was at that moment that my senses picked it up.

Rushing out of the alley, a group of people had covered the fallen form of an old man as he held his stomach with both hands while in the fetal position.

From the outside, everything was fine, granted whatever had caused this was from the release of the chakra wave that affected the village… and if he was affected but others were not… something had to be wrong with him specifically.

And the moment I focused I saw it, the same structure of chakra that we had noticed when we first started to track Kei's actions, one planted across numerous individuals within the shinobi world. The shinobi called them seals… and from the most powerful, capable of containing beasts made of chakra, the one we were preparing to contain Kei himself, whatever he was, there were also simplistic ones.

The one Kei had used was of the containment type, and the most suspicious thing was, they were too simplistic, going as far as being laughably bad. The type of seals that could be released with but a tug, a simple disturbance in the chakra system… and this person had it.

Just like a bad knot, the wave of chakra tugged it lightly… and so it came loose.

The old man thrashed about as his eyes started to be covered with fog and blood started to leak from his nose, ears, eyes, and mouth.

As the people tried to offer some kind of help the old man thrashed about, injuring them as if he had started to go feral, acting like a beast. But that was it, a moment later the old man suddenly stopped, only for his face and upper body to swell up and explode in a show of blood and gore.

*BOOM*

Blood emerged like mist and spread all over the area, killing some people who were too close to it as a result and causing others to go into a coughing fit.

Jumping away I managed to avoid any possible contact with it, looking on as the people started to attack each other like beasts… no, even beasts had their instinct of self-preservation. This was much worse. They attacked with no regard for themselves… but the worse thing was that whatever the old man had was spreading.

The people who were the first to be attacked tried to run away, only for them to turn and attack the others mere moments later. Their hair was falling off as their teeth grew sharper, some had their hands grow into claws. On even had lost his arms all-together, only for a whip-like tongue to take their place as a weapon, capable of extending over dozens of meters with the force capable of cutting a body in two.

As I looked over, I felt more and more 'lights' extinguishing within the village, and in their stead, there was nothing. If I didn't see them, I couldn't know they actually were there… it was disturbing, it was unnatural. It was a feeling he had felt multiple times before.

'Demons… no, these are… undead? Low-ranked zombies… heh, is this all you had under your sleeve? With their meager strength, it won't matter.' – A small snicker escaped me as I felt that I had overestimated our opponent for the first time in quite a while.

While our vessels were currently mortal, they far surpassed the physical abilities of any 'Kage'. Zombies' advantages were in their number and unrelenting nature… but their weaknesses were also painfully obvious, the sluggish movements and general lack of intelligence when compared to a normal person, let alone a cultivator, and not even comparing it to their level.

As a moment passed I suddenly felt something wrong. The noises and growling of the zombies had already stopped, and as I turned to look at them, they all had turned to stare at me.

'I've already suffered a loss, it would be stupid to use any QI to clean this village up, especially since there are an uncountable number of other hosts out there, not that it would threaten them in any way either way.

------------------------------

(3rd Person POV)

As a wave of killing intent surged the living dead didn't even flinch as they roared back immediately and charged towards the cultivator.

The long-range variants lashed out with their whip-like tounges, missing him as the cultivator jumped on top of the building behind him, only for the building to start and tip over as the whips that missed him destroyed the walls on the first floor.

As the cultivator studied the zombies, he noticed the not-so-subtle changes in them.

The normal ones had started running and jumping with incredible speed, and even their endurance had reached a new level as the one that splashed into the wall and survive started to become bulkier.

The ranged ones became more accurate, and a new, 2.5 to 3 meter tall variant that looked like dogs started to show up.

As the exchange continued, the infected didn't manage to come any closer to touching the cultivator… but their movements started to become erratic and their numbers swelled by the minute.

At first, it was two dozen, then around fifty, then a hundred, and so on and on until it reached 10'000 infected, relentlessly following him… but now they were starting to leave a hundred or so behind and retreat to attack at full force from another direction.

It was only after the 3rd time that he realized something, once he saw where he had arrived.

Looking at the Tsuchikage tower behind him he slowly shook his head.

'They are growing stronger and smarter… and it's barely been half an hour. This is much more serious than just simple undead. Either way, they tried so hard to get me here… but why exactly at the Tsuchikage tower?'

Climbing up the tower the cultivator observed around to see where the infected were going to attack from this time, and figure out what these creatures were planning exactly… and, right there he was reminded of a simple fact. The village had a much larger population than just 10'000 civilians, and now he was at the center of the village, which, given Iwa's militaristic lifestyle, was the furthest and hardest location to reach from any of the entrances.

Looking down Yang Feng saw hundreds of thousands of infected of different shapes and sizes rushing towards him from every direction. But that was not what concerned him. His senses that could sense any changes within Iwa had just flared up.

Looking over at the horizon, a massive tailed-beast bomb traveled at incredible speed, already at the gates.

'I was too arrogant.'

There were so many factors that he could attribute to the fact that he missed such a giant projectile heading towards the village, his current weak body, his fresh internal wound… but, even then he would have sensed the killing intent. What covered it was…

Yang Feng's eyes traveled to the oncoming torrent of monsters who were likely trying to keep him here. The killing intent was wild, overbearing, and unfocused, covering the entire village and more. It was like a thick wall that blocked the killing of a single person from outside the village with ease.

'He wants to exhaust me. It's too close and getting out in time would be impossible without QI.' – His body was powerful, maybe even twice as fast as Shisui, 20 times as strong as Tsunade at her peak and far more durable than Hashirama, and all of this without using any QI at all… but in the end, these were but mere mortal human vessels, mere imitations of their real bodies. Rip out the heart, take the head, cut them in pieces… and they will die in the end. There was no place for their souls to reside in this world. In energy form, they will be ripped apart in mere moments.

As Yang Feng channeled QI into his legs, the same feeling washed over him, his eyes widening as he turned around, from the corner of his eyes catching the glimpse of a giant arrow heading towards his location.

Going simply by the size of the tailed beast bomb, it was going to take out the entire village… but coupled with the amount of chakra in the arrow, the clash would take out at least twice the area, not taking into consideration how violent the reaction would be.

Clenching his teeth, Yang Feng pushed as much Qi as his body could handle to his feet, feeling the blood in his mouth as he did so.

In but a moment, he was already in front of the infected at the bottom of the tower.

Knowing that maneuvering around them would only waste his time, without slowing down, QI flowed through his hand as with a simple draw, every monster in front of him disappeared. Blood leaked down his chin as he finally reached halfway across the village, all in less than a second.

'Two seconds.' – Glancing at the tailed bomb above him, Yang Fei calculated the time of impact.

Half a second later, he found himself nearly at the gate before immediately feeling a presence not too far behind him.

'Bansho Ten'in!' – A sudden attractive force was felt as Yang Feng felt his body come to a sudden halt.

'NO! I'll gamble it then!' – His eyes narrowed as he made no attempt to look or attack the person behind him, blood leaking from his nose and ears, his speed pushing even further as he finally moved, only to look in front of him in disbelief.

Countless golden chains rose from the ground as they reached for the sky, blocking the entire section. On the other side of the wall, a red-haired kunoichi could be seen smiling.

With another swing, the white sword came down once more, breaking through the chains, the wall, the gate, and the kunoichi who had a surprised look on her face, reducing them to dust as even his eyes started to bleed from the backlash.

'The damage doesn't matter as long as I can get out!' – But at that moment…

'BANSHO TEN'IN!' – An even stronger attraction force pulled at him, sending him tumbling back towards his opponent, straight into a firm hold as the silver-haired shinobi wrapped his arms around him, locking him in place.

Through his bloody face, Yang Feng looked at his would-be killer, a silver-haired shinobi with a mask that covered his face and left eye, holding the same eye that the sage had on his right. A cold look on his face as he let go of his sword.

"At the very least, YOU WILL ACCOMPANY ME TO HELL!" – he said in a dark tone as the sword stopped its fall and floated, making a pass at Kakashi's neck, sending his head flying though the grip did not lessen.

Looking at the flying head, Yang Feng saw an eye smile present on the visible eye of the shinobi, which suddenly spoke.

"Yo, first time dying? Ma, ma… you get used to it." – The words came from the floating head as the cultivator's eyes widened, a bright flash following as the earth shook and the entire village and surrounding area disappeared.

(Title: No Showdown After 200 Chapters For You.)

(A.N: A 2000-ish word chapter, approx twice the length of a normal one but i didnt want to split it up. Hope you enjoyed :)

(Explanation: It's Kushina and Kakashi, he has created bodies similiar to Pain's except with people he has consumed and they are made of biomass, still needs to use the chakra receivers to send and receive information. Mentioned it before as well, chapter 66 : 'The Dead Doctor'. As for the cultivators, mentioned them briefly before, cant remember the chapter, basically one of them is capable of divination and guess what he foresaw so that they had to come here. That should about cover it. Hope you enjoyed it :)
