Chương 22: THE DAYS OF SIN
Mr.Kang started shaking the woman vigorously hoping he havent killed her. He didnt mean to hurt a woman at any cost as he was already done with killing humans. He gave his position of being the leader for the very same reason. He didnt like killing human unless they bother him to the fullest but this night he saw her dying because of him.
"Miss, are you okay?" he asked miserably while trying feel her heart beat.
It wasnt beating, she wasnt breathing. Did she really die or is she turning to a vampire? He picked her up and walked while his troop followed him. They warned him to not to do so because engaging with human is dangerous. They couldnt force him more as he was the king who can do anything back at them. They silently followed Mr.Kang as he walked aimlessly to somewhere. He needed to find a place to hide her for three days so that she will get enough time to wake up. She needed to stay away from sunlight and other disturbances where her body can change to a vampire and get adjusted to it.
"Find a place to hide her." He demanded in defeat.
"Lord, there is one at the end of the province. Its not visited by anyone." A man said.
"Lets go there." With that the man ran at top of his speed carrying her on his back.
After few minutes, they saw a building which looked worn out and broken but it really seemed deserted. He walked inside and laid her on the bench. It was all dusty and at the same time moist with grasses and climbers all over.
"Clean the place and get rid off these things." Mr.Kang ordered while throwing out a climber from the leg of the bench.
"Yes lord."
"Bring a blanket and other necessities." He asked another man who ran out as soon as he got the order.
He looked at her with a concerned face and his eyes automatically dropped to her legs where it was bleeding non stop even now. He felt his heart shaking at that. Mr. Kang ripped his shirt sleeve and knelt down next to her leg.
"I am sorry." he muttered securing it around her wound to stop the bleeding.
Soon, the man came with the necessities and Mr.Kang himself helped her change and dress her wounds. She have started to turn pale as the blood in her system slowly dried out. That was a relief for him as she was safe.
Three days passed by and Mr.Kang came to visit her everyday. He sat by her side and held her hands. He didnt know why he was doing that in the first place because it was not his first time hurting a human. He have been killing people a lot in the past days but not anymore as he was tired of watching the war which never reached anywhere.
She finally showed movement and he ran to her and held her hands.
"Hey, you okay?" He asked in his shaking voice.
"I- my son?" She asked with her eyes still closed.
"He is fine, we have taken care of him."
"Where am I? I must go to him." She became restless.
"Miss, please try to open your eyes."
She held his hands tight and he could feel the strength. It was not that of an ordinary human which means, she have changed to one of them. He looked curiously at her eyes fluterring as its been three days since she opened it. With much effort, her eyes finally opened and he saw it.
BLOOD RED EYES.
"Do you feel something?" He asked helping her to sit up.
The wounds in her body have healed and she looked healthy. Her honey skin have turned pale as she was a new born vampire. Her veins popping out and body have become skinny. Saliva being pushed inside her throat, and her tongue wetting the dry scaly lips. She was thirsty and that was known earlier. New born vampires cannot control their thirst.
"I am thirsty." She said looking at the man.
"I know."
He smiled at her bringing a glass of red liquid to her. Her eyes widened and eyebrows furrowed. She tilted her head and inhaled deeply. Her body started to shake and she leaned forward to take the scent inside deeper but the man moved the glass behind him.
"You need to learn to control." He said
"Give that to me. I am thirsty." She complained trying to get up.
"You can have it but from today till the day, you learn to control your thirst..."
She looked at him again.
"....you will stay with me." He announced.
"I will, now give me that." She said tightening her grip in his wrist.
He smiled and gave her the glass which she swallowed in a gulp not even trying to know the taste or feeling any guilt. She have already accepted her life as a vampire which was a relief.
"I want to meet my son." She demanded wiping the blood off her lips.
"Sorry. I cant let you meet him now." Mr.Kang said with a disappointed face.
"Who are you to say that?" She asked as her fangs protruded and nails longed.
"I am the one responsible for you and I dont want more regrets." He said holding her back.
"What makes you believe that I will listen to your words? I want to see my son." She jerked off his hands.
"Because you are going to kill him."
She stopped on her steps and looked back at him confused.
"What do you mean?"
"You are a new born vampire who cant control your thirst among humans." He said making her cry in an instant.
"I miss him." She muttered.
"Trust me, he is safe." Thats all he said before hugging the crying figure.
