Holding her baby close to her chest, trying to keep her warmth intact, she kept walking in the darkness.

She could not pinpoint out what exactly he wanted to showcase by doing so. At one time, he would be so crystal clear about his intentions with her and baby Ava...it would feel like as if his words were genuine...but then in the next instant, he would do something as heinous as such, disrupting everything all together.
