It's different compared to other mc who pursue invincibility because they they want to dominate the world,Stand at the top of world, control their own fate and etc so overall this novel is average

Writing this review at chapter 300. The biggest complaint that i see from people is that the MC is a coward, but honestly, i see it as cautious and smart. Why put your life on the line when you don't have to? Instead, the MC is more like a puppetmaster, manipulating things from the shadows, and only stepping out when the outcome is a foregone conclusion. If i had one complaint it would be about the MC burning his lifespan. For someone so fixated on longevity he seems to have no qualms with spending 100,000,000 years of lifespan just to curse an enemy. Or spend 1,000,000,000 years of it to peer into the future.

Very good book, low-key and overpowered mc who does what he wants. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone. The book is long and the story is continuous and not repetition of the same stuff. :)

It felt fun to read at first but it gets repetitive. Also, it’s not that immersive; it feels like I am just reading a bunch of daily logs or something. It’s a bit stale and lifeless, which on one side aligns with the character of the MC and the uniqueness of the story but still. It just feels way to much like a chore to read. It also feels like he never has to work hard for anything he gets, other than sitting down and cultivating. Like bruh, you are the MC, you won’t die from touching some grass once in a while. Also, they never explain anything and just say a bunch of stuff like Yin, Yang, providence. I have a bunch of more negative things but I think you get it by now… In conclusion. Story feels unnatural and stale for me but if you are enamored by the premise then you might enjoy it for sure.

So first and foremost a proper review before personal opinion. It does almost everything right, although it may seem a little repetitive at one point but it's properly hidden throughout the story to make you feel it's not that repetitive. There is just one instance of nationalism in the story but it's not that big of a deal and can be easily ignored. There can be few translation mistakes in the later chapters but there are not too many. The story even has relaxing chapters and such . Now for the personal opinion: The mc literally just one shots every opponent. If an opponent requires him to make more than one move he will run away. He is not some saint who doesn't kill, he will kill whenever necessary and will kill a lot but also won't make everyone his enemy. He doesn't believe in kindness and can even be said to be ruthless sometimes. He is very biased towards his own children at the end of the story but is a good person overall with a personality of his own. You can also try to read "My descendents begged me just after I became an immortal" this is also written by the same author and the mc there is kinder who even makes enemies his friends through persuasion and it's also a great novel with almost no filler. Give it a try at least.

well, this novel was a breath of fresh air. not gonna lie it wasn't as exciting as the usual cultivation novels but it really is interesting as it touched aspects I personally never found in other novels, such as the main character's selfishness; he always prioritizes himself. if the situation is dangerous. he would never put himself in danger to save someone else no matter who it was, be it his wives, children, or friends if he wasn't sure 100 percent he could save them he wouldn't. also, this novel had no secret realm exploring, no adventures, even tournaments it had only one in the early chapters, and even that lasted for like one chapter. MC is always in seclusion he doesn't do anything if he doesn't really have to and even then he only moves if he's 100 percent certain of his safety. After reading many cliche cultivation novels this one, although not as exciting, was quite relaxing

Decent novel. It's nice to see a character who doesn't just run around and survive due to plot armor. Though plot armor has really just been replaced by a system as without that he wouldn't have even had the talent to cultivate in the first place let alone the later rewards that allows him to avoid going out and competing for techniques, resources(natural treasures to increase qi), and etc. Han Jue really is never really challenged nor threatened either as he has the system battle simulation and system dao field. I still enjoyed the novel, though, despite the above, but the biggest problem I have is the Heavenly Emperor character. The author acts like he was super kind to Han Jue when really their relationship was just one of interest. Han Jue even says he was like a father to him, which is absurd. It starts with the Heavenly Court ruled by the Heavenly Emperor going to slaughter Han Jues entire world. Only once mc shows his power, and 'talent' does this change. Then, the heavenly emperor allows Han jue to stay hidden and cultivate. Somehow, this becomes a kind act in the authors words. Thanks for not killing me? Still have to surrender to heavenly court, though. At least he can stay hidden, right? After all, Han Jue doesn't want to waste his time dealing with intrigue in the heavenly court, and he does have enemies. He also has enemies in the immoral world that the heavenly emperor promised will not be a problem anymore. He even leaves a powerful guard outside Han Jues' world. The problem is that while those enemies don't become a problem, new enemies are. The guard is never useful as Han Jue often has to fight enemies, and the guard ends up having not been their for whatever reason. Eventually, a calamity period happens, and the heavenly court can't even protect itself. Han Jue has the dao field at this point and can hide from his enemies. Basically, the heavenly court is no longer useful to him. However, Han Jue feels he should repay the heavenly emperors kindness(?) to him. Anyway, whatever, that's fine, but this quickly becomes Han Jue many times having to save the heavenly emperor, but no matter how many times he does, the author acts like Han Jue still owes him greatly. Even like I said, eventually, when heavenly emperor becomes an enemy of the heavenly dao Han Jues response, is I can't kill him as they had a father and son like relationship? Honestly, what is even worse is how Han Jue treats his dao companions and his children. The hierarchy of how Han Jue treats people is heavenly emperor first, then his Dao Companions, then his disciples, and lastly, his children. Even then, though, he shows obvious bias among which dao companion and disciples he treats better. Anyway, back to heavenly emperor, he basically becomes a leech, and Han Jue continues to have his decedent's sent to the heavenly emperors new heavenly court for 'training' basically making this power extremely powerful... So yeah, not killing Han Jue and promising and failing to protect Han Jue led to heavenly emperor being supported by Han Jue infinitely. This is probably one of the most disgusting relationships I've ever seen in any Chinese novel. It's weird, too, because for a while, it's just that Han Jue feels he will repay the favor that's it, then it just drastically shifts to continuously repaying the favor but author acts like Han Jue hasn't. Then rveb more drastically out if no were it says he was like a father to Han Jue, I don't think Han Jue has even met him in person more than 3 times at that point as well and all their conversations were never about anything close people would talk about... Anyway, it wouldn't have been so upsetting if Han Jue treated those who actually were good to him well, but he doesn't, which just makes this even more disgusting...

This novel is way too boring, I mean true it's good to have low key mc but it does not mean I have to read through his low key day's I mean it's good to hide power and avoid dangerous places but to just sit in cave and not even step outside is just crazy and that too when cultivation in this novel is not like others where mc breakthrough every year or two here mc literally sits for decades and cultivate. He does not even go out to ask for pills that can easily save him decades that is just plain stupid. Romance is even more forced he literally pushes the girls away met him for mere days before running off for decades of seclusion but they still are loyal and even willing to die for him. This type of theme might even would have worked in light hearted comedic xianxia plot, but this is hardcore serious novel.
