"It seems that Jihan and Esme are also finished with their task. We should go to them first since they already used the beacon. By the way, what took you guys so long?" Whiz asked the relaxed Adrian and the stiff Dustan.
"Someone had to buy a lot of clothes and unnecessary stuff. We would have been finished earlier if he only brought like ten pairs of clothes. He had to buy gigantic plushies of imaginary monsters." Dustan stated as he got tired being Adrian's personal butler.
"It is not my fault that you did not want to wait in the inn." Adrian retorted.
"You are basically going to another place. I am the leader of our group, and I am responsible for you. I made an exception this time because you needed clothes but there will not be another one." Dustan stated with an exasperated tone.
"I need to decorate my room. It needs personality and it is not like I can call delivery. Hello Express Delivery…do you deliver to the Bermuda triangle? You don't?" Adrian stated in a sassy tone which made Whiz laugh at his joke.
"Well, it seems that the figurines and plushies he bought are all from the biggest game franchise in the world. Did you grow up with them, Adrian?" Whiz asked.
"I did and the story of overcoming all odds with the power of friendship always tugs my heart. Plus, this is the fist game that my parents bought me. I literally begged them to buy me that handheld console and gaming cartridge." Adrian replied and smiled unconsciously.
"You could have held back with the purchasing though. You will get scolded by Joe at this rate." Dustan stated as he did not know how to react to Adrian's statement since he knew his background.
"I also collect some figurines as well. I do like robots though since I always aspired to create a large robot that I could pilot myself. That is still my dream though." Whiz stated.
"You could pilot this UFO looking vehicle. You can easily make that robot that you want as long as you put your mind to it." Adrian cheered for Whiz.
"Can you tell me about the supernatural beings? Dustan already told me that you guys were trapped inside a barrier and even went to another dimension. I am a science geek, but I know that ghosts exist since video evidence is present on the internet. It is not just that conclusive." Whiz stated with excitement since he likes watching ghost videos.
"You mean those ghost hunters that run away when they supposedly get activity. I mean why be a ghost hunter if you are going to escape from a ghost. Should you not run towards the ghost not away from it?" Dustan retorted as he does not like people who stage things for others to believe or get views.
"Some of those videos are real though but I do get you about people creating stuff for views. They are the reason why skeptics appear even though the supernatural world I closer than they think. For example, some people miraculously getting scoff free in an accident." Adrian said as he started with something strong.
"You mean to say those people that goes away scot-free from accidents even though others in the same place gets killed or extremely injured? Those are due to spirits or ghosts? Even I think that they are just in the right place at the right time." Whiz stated even if he does not want to be a skeptic.
"You mean something like the concept of a guardian angel. I can believe ghosts and spirits, but guardian angels are just on a whole level of impossible." Dustan commented even though he did not look interested in the topic at first.
"Those people are not with guardian angels as those guys are too busy to actually be with humans. I could only describe them as guardian spirits of people who loved you that passed away. Guardian spirits could be anyone that you have a connection with who wants to pay you back since they could not during their mortal life." Adrian stated as he remembered the instances where he saw the guardian spirits in action.
"You mean like my parents?" Whiz asked.
"It is not limited to parents or family. It could be the stray dog that you fed once when it is incredibly hungry. Or the old uncle or lady down the street that you always help with carrying their heavy belongings.
That is why everyone must strive to be a good person because they never know when they would need the unexpected help." Adrian stated as he closed his eyes and remember the times that guardian spirits helped him in his countless incarnations.
"Wow! That is beautiful." Whiz stated with tears welling up in his eyes. It seems some of the things that Adrian told them has somehow resonated with him.
"You speak as if you already experienced that thing a couple of times." Dustan stated but Adrian only gave a meaningful smile.
As Whiz is enjoying the story telling session, the dots that represented the location of Jihan and Esme suddenly disappeared. Whiz thought it is just interference, but the signal never returned.
"Jihan and Esme's location suddenly vanished!" Whiz shouted as the beacon he gave them is very sturdy. It would not even break if they dropped it from a hundred story building.
"They did not cancel the signal, right?" Dustan asked as he stood up and looked at the digital map.
"They will not because the signal will not stop as soon as it is activated. Only I can stop it when I plug it in this aircraft's terminal." Whiz answered.
"They could be trapped inside a barrier." Adrian stated which made the two of them look at him.
"But you told me that barriers could not stop electronic signals since it is just all illusions." Dustan stated.
"That would be true for normal barrier, but it would be different if the space itself become isolated." Adrian stated in a serious tone.
"They should be in danger then. Whiz, go full speed. We need to help them." Dustan stated as he sat down and strapped himself up like the others.
