Chương 18: W—What.. do... you... want?

"What? You are going out? Why I am not informed about this?" Elsa frowned and asked

"How will she inform you when it is planned by the great, Calvin Lewis." Calvin thought

Ava pouted her lips and said, "I just got to know babe."

"But—"

"Yes, Yes you can leave Ava. I mean it's already late, right?" Calvin chuckled and said

Ava helplessly shook her head and said "Let me pack my dinner."

"Just wait a minute," Elsa said and rushed towards the kitchen

"So, Is she special?" Ava asked

Calvin sighed and said, "I—Will you please keep it as a secret?"

"Why? Why should I keep this big news as a secret?" Ava curiously inquired

"Ahh, my mouth is itching to share this news with Aunt Mary." Ava excitedly said

"Ava, you can't betray our friendship," Calvin stated

"You know what, I can." Ava winked her eyes and said

"Why should I keep this away from Aunt Mary? I should explain to her how desperately his son wants a date with my best friend. I want to tell everyone that how Calvin Lewis begged me to spend some time with my bestie." Ava said

"Wait, You also begged Elsa," Ava added

"Hey, I never begged her." Calvin retorted

"Oh, according to date phycology, 'PLEASE, I INSIST' is considered as begging," Ava explained

Calvin about to say something but stopped when he thought about how desperate he looked when he asked her out. He suddenly started feeling embarrassed by his desperateness but the question is his embarrassment is due to his bossy image? Or because with the thought Elsa thinking lowly of him?

'Did she think lowly of me?' A sudden thought flashed in his mind which made his heart sour. He doesn't want her to think lowly of him and he can't afford it but why? Did he ever think like this for other women? No, Calvin isn't a person who cares about others. He always followed the 'I don't give shit to your words about me.' rule in his life. He never really cared and always did what makes him happy and satisfied but his behaviour with Elsa is completely changed. She hates him but still, he wants to talk to her. She clearly stated her disinterest but still, he don't mind begging her. Why?

"Hello, Mr Calvin Lewis," Ava said while waving her hand before his eyes.

Coming back to the senses, Calvin said "Yeah, I was just lost."

"Lost in what? In my best friends beautiful—" Ava stopped saying when Elsa is walking towards them

"Here is your dinner. Don't forget to eat okay." Elsa informed before giving her a box

"Be careful and don't fight." Ava smiled and said

After bidding goodbye, Ava left for her office.

Looking at Calvin, she asked, "Did you have your dinner?"

Calvin shook his head and said, "Did you prepared one for me?"

"Do you think I am your cook to prepare food for you?" Elsa scoffed

"Freinds prepare food for other friends." Calvin retorted

"Shut up and help me in cooking," Ava said and gestured him to follow her to the kitchen

"I have made dinner for two people but I packed everything for Ava because she might feel hungry at midnight," Elsa said before passing him the apron

"Did you know how to cook?" Elsa asked

"I know boiling water, can I consider it as cooking?" Calvin asked

"Seriously Mr. Dinosaur? You are twenty-six and you don't know how to cook?" Elsa frowned and asked

Calvin shrugged his shoulders and said "What? I have a chef for myself and he will cook everything."

When Elsa frowned, Calvin sighed and asked Is it a crime if a man doesn't know cooking?"

"Yeah, it is a big fat crime okay. I still wonder why woman loiter around when you have some many disabilities?" Elsa helplessly shook her head and said

"Disabilities? I have a perfect figure, my dick is working fine and I have a big wallet too." Calvin defended himself

Elsa frowned and said, "Some woman like me want some other qualities."

"Can you explain?" Calvin curiously inquired

Elsa sighed and said, "I am a foodie, so I want a man who knows how to cook deliciously."

Pausing for a while, she said "I love warm hugs and kiss than your big fat wallet."

"So, you mean you will like me when I learn cooking?" Calvin asked

Elsa frowned and snapped "When did I say that? I am talking about other—"

Elsa stopped saying and gulped in nervousness when Calvin inched closer to her. Though he want to touch her but still his handsome face is making her stomach churn. She could hear her wild beating chest and her legs suddenly started turning weak. Her breath hitched and her cheeks started burning.
