~~~(POV: Nathan Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Outside Republic Base Guarding The Caves of Ilum, Planet Ilum)~~~
The Jedi are serious about protecting this place, and The Caves of Ilum have answers that I need. My attention is brought back to the single Jedi Knight left standing, and he's all that's left of the many warriors of The Light protecting this place. Beyond the walls of this base are soldiers. None capable of hurting me, much less stopping me.
Some would claim that's arrogance in one's strength, and they wouldn't be wrong. In a sense, I can be arrogant, not in an outward way, but in an internal one. "You've killed several great and loyal Jedi... Do you not feel anything for your former allies?" My thoughts are interrupted by the lone Jedi standing across the icy landscape from me. The storm is now gone, and the wind with it.
This Jedi's mind is strong, and I'm not going to bother digging any deeper than I already have. I don't want to see his entire life in the span of a few seconds. That's a painful process for both of us. "Save your moralizing, Knight. The Caves of Ilum are holding answers I need. You and your friends stood in the way. So I removed them, and now all that's left is you." I can sense his power.
He's stronger than most Masters, and the knowledge he's still a Knight tells me he bares some sort of shame that keeps him from being a Master. The other is he's recently gained more power through training and communing with The Force. "You're not what I expected, Nathan. I figured this could've played out differently. Your aggression makes things harder than they need to be." Ugh.
Lectures from Jedi are all the same, and he's become annoying. I'm not going to bother to learn his name at this point. Jedi are like copies of one another. The exceptions are Jedi like Nomen Karr, or Master Caleb. "Make peace with The Force. You're going to join your comrades." My lightsaber shoots back onto my belt, and I raise my left arm.
My body is surrounded by white Force Lightning, and I unleash its power in his direction. He holds his lightsaber up in a guard, but the white Force Lightning is taking up to large an area. As soon as contact is made, he's instantly turned to smoke. The base behind him is hit, and the damaged area from my Force Wave is hit again. Breaking through the base walls and carving a path through it.
The base has likely sent out a distress beacon, so I shouldn't waste time. I walk towards the opening I made, and as I do, troopers fully armed rush out. Before they can even lift their weapons, I wave my hand, and all of them fly to the side and hit the wall with sickening crunches. I look at their bodies as I walk, and bones are sticking out of their skin.
They're all dead, and I can sense the rest in the base taking up a defensive position near the entrance to The Caves of Ilum. "Alright, men! Don't lose Outpost Guardian! We are the last line of defense for this outpost!" A man on the intercom comes through, and before he can start talking again. I reach through The Force and Force Choke him.
His gurgling voice and crushed neck are heard through the intercom before silence. I feel the fear building from the troops as I walk the path I've made to the entrance to The Caves of Ilum. It takes about another minute of walking, but I see rows and rows of troops guarding where I need to go. "Let him have it, boys!!" An officer gives the signal to fire, and they do just that.
I raise my hand and hold up a fist. I lift one finger and point it at a vertical angle. The blaster bolts stop midflight and hover in stasis. I twitch my finger to the left, and all the blaster bolts are sent in that direction. I twitch my finger to the right, and all the troopers are slammed and pinned against the wall opposite to where I sent the blaster bolts.
None are hurt badly, and they'll live. They'll just stay there until I'm inside The Caves of Ilum.
