As soon as I stepped inside my home, I had a weird feeling in my stomach. It felt like something was wrong. I walked further into the surprisingly quiet living room, carefully.
“Mummy…” I whispered, having no idea why I was whispering. Like my mother wasn’t a vampire who would hear me through her vamp hearing or something.
I climbed the stairs and headed straight to her room. I knocked on the door lightly and waited for her reply.
“Yes?” A choked out voice of my mom spoke from the other side of the door. I opened the door quickly.
“Oh, Noah… baby I didn’t hear you, when did you come back?” She tried to hide that she was crying but she failed.
“Mum, what happened? You’re crying. Why?” I glided on the bed, beside her.
“Nothing, I’m fine.” She answered brushing the fringes off my face.
“I can tell that you’re not fine, please tell me what happened?” I tried again taking her hands in mine. I heard a sob and I pulled her in a hug.
