After Alex knocked out the Rigan, he got off of him and collapsed on his bed due to exhaustion, his vision returning to normal. He lay there for a few minutes before sitting up again.
' Are these the after-effects of the Last Stand?' Alex thought, finally being able to catch his breath.
Alex looked at the man sprawled out across the floor and looked at what he wore. He had "Assassins armor" on, which increases a player's speed by 2x, usually the first armor a fresh spawn buys before continuing to progress.
' The Rigan didn't use any thief abilities when he fought, does that mean he was just a fresh spawn with a dagger and armor?' Alex noticed on the palm of the Rigan's hand was a 1, with the other hand being no number on it.
' He doesn't have a day count, so that's his life count?' He pondered inwardly. So in other words, the Rigan is 1 life, while Alex is 3 lives, the amount a player starts with
'People in this world only have 1 life huh..' Alex's clothes were stained in blood, mostly because of his left arm, which bled a bunch because of the Rigan when he attacked him.
Alex looked at his arm and noticed there was no wasn't any sign of injury on it except for the blood on his fresh spawn clothes. If Alex were to go back to the bar looking like this, it would surely raise unwanted questions. Alex looked back at the Rigan's armor and saw what he needed to do. After around 10 minutes of fitting into the Rigan's assassin's armor and looting his pockets, he found 234 silver on his persons and the bronze dagger he used to try to kill Alex. He sheathed the dagger on his belt and placed the bag of money which originally hung at the Rigan's side into his pouch. To his surprise, when Alex put the money into his pouch that hung on his belt, the bag disappeared.
'Huh?' Alex began rummaging in the pouch again, only to find nothing inside it. He looked at the front of his hand and saw the number 234 on his wrist.
'How do I withdraw the silver?' Alex pictured the number 10 in his head and felt his pouch jingle. He checked it and saw there were 10 silver coins in it. He took it out and put it back in the pouch again, it disappeared.
'Neat!' Alex thought. Now outfitted with some starting gear, Alex hid the Rigan's unconscious body under the bed along with the fresh spawn clothes he wore. He then cleaned the floor of the blood he spilled during the fight using the water from the cup and bedsheets from the bed. He tossed those bedsheets under as well. He exited his room and instead of taking a right towards the bar, he went left, going down the stairs there, into where the Innkeeper was located. He did this in around 2 seconds, surprised at how fast it took him to get to the Innkeeper to his room.
'The Rigan wasn't this fast... Do the effects of the armor only work for me?'
Alex walked to the Innkeeper seated behind a narrow, long table, found he was sleeping so he just left the inn and onto a rocky path that split 3 ways from wayside inn.

A sound similar to a chime resounded in his head, interrupting his thoughts as he heard the following words spoken to him in his mind:
(Congratulations, you've completed the tutorial, now initiating launch of system.....)
All of the sudden, a swarm of text and data flooded his mind, causing him to blackout.
