Ashley's sports car pulled up outside the Carter residence about five minutes after Freya spoke to Charlie on the phone.

Freya turned and said to Ashley, "Are you okay with going back on your own?"

"If I said I wasn't, are you going to invite me in?"

Freya undid the seat belt. "I would rather you didn't come in. Also, I will be very vigilant when I go for the matchmaking session tomorrow. I will try to squeeze as much information as I can out of him."

Ashley nodded with a straight face. "Good. In that case, I will go home and make a list of questions."
