After about 4 hours everything was all drawn up and measured. Boko was still in a good mood due to being spoiled rotten by the Ganesha familia.
"Alright the troughs have been delivered and set up under your goddess, everything is all written down and measured, if we have any other questions we can head over and ask. Estimated time for the cart is still two weeks but the saddle and bags should be ready in about 3 to 5 days. If you could swing by we can try them on Boko and make any finishing adjustments here." Paul says holding out his hand for a shake.
"Sure thing. Pleasure doing business with you." I shake his hand before hopping onto Boko. "Cmon buddy let's go and play a bit in the dungeon and good job today behaving."
"Warkk!"
I pat his neck and point him towards the dungeon.
Once we hit the entrance I hop off, it's a bit hard to ride him with nothing to hold onto and not pull out his feathers.
"Alright then buddy, let's see how you fare against goblins." I cast haste on myself and head into the dungeon, the large bird easily running beside me.
First goblins we come across...absolutely fucked by a set of razor sharp talons turning it into nothing but flesh ribbons. I grab the magic core and we continue on, the large raptor like bird making quick work of any solo goblins we run across.
Easily heading down to the second floor. A large revolver appears in my hand and I click in 9 bullets before snapping it closed.
"Well then let's see if you can make quick work of kobolds as well." I grin at the bird who let's out a warble.
Turns out those legs of his are terrifying easily able to crush a kobold and rip them to shreds, like a cat on a fucking mouse.
*Blam! Blam!*
Gunshots ring out as Kobold heads pop. "Bullets seem to work fine!" I grin before starting the magic stone extraction and grabbing my brass casings. We head around for a bit as I test out the bullets and guns making sure everything works properly and the bullets aren't causing any damage to my guns.
The items I had gotten from Odin were indeed quality goods and had the measurements for different caliber weapons. I should probably make a couple of thunder bullets later on.
Swapping midway through to try out some of the gunblades, they seemed to hold up much better than Dart's broadsword in melee combat and didn't show any signs of damage against the Kobolds. Seems they were made with some rather strong materials like my buster sword.
I make sure to test out the revolver parts as well, which are all in working order, tad bit messy being up close and personal with a gun sword, luckily the cloak deflects all that splatter keeping me relatively clean.
Boko does fine work as a combat companion, just stomping or tearing anything to death that gets in the way.
After a couple hours the bags are full and most of my weapons have been tested, we head out of the dungeon to sell our good and then hesd home for a late lunch. Making about 15,000 vali for the day which is needed as I spent pretty much all of our money on equipment for Boko and the tamers license.
I do a quick desummon and resummon of Boko to get rid of the blood on him and head to the nearby market to pick up some large bags of fruits and veggies for the large bird.
Back at the house I head around to the back and see the large troughs one already filled with water from the pump and the other just waiting for food. I grab the bags off the bird and dump them into the trough, he can even graze if he wants to. "Alright buddy have at it, good work today. Just make sure if you poop or something do it away from the house" I pat the birb who nods and head inside.
"Hel, I'm home." I call out.
"I'm in the living room, we have guests." I hear her call.
"Guests?" Taking off my cloak I put it back in my ring before heading to the living room.
There waiting was Loki, Tiona the brown Amazon woman who liked my stories and Ais, who was curious about dragon slayers.
"Yo!" Loki says with a grin just relaxing on the couch.
"Hello." I reply with a raised eyebrow.
"I decided to drop by to make sure there were no hard feelings between our familia for what happened at Hephaestus's place. Plus these two have been bothering me to come over and hear more of your stories." Loki says.
"I feel you are just curious and want to dig out more of my secrets to see how much of a threat I am to your familia." I say casually sitting next to my goddess.
"You caught me, but these two have indeed been bothering me to come and visit." Loki says with a grin.
I turn towards the two. Ais has her normally passive face but sparkly eyes showing eagerness. "I want to know more about dragoons." she says in the same monotone voice.
Tiona is more visibly eager, "You said you would tell me more stories!" both seem to have the same idea and are tugging on my shirt like children.
"How about I introduce you to Boko first. He is my new summon I got yesterday." Even Loki is interested in this.
"Hel mentioned something about that." Loki says.
"Not much of a secret considering he is a 9 foot tall bird I've been riding around." I laugh before everyone gets up and heads out back. Only Ais seemingly wary of the large bird as she has a general distrust and disgust towards most monsters. However its rather hard to dislike the big bird who is generally happy. It takes a while for her to warm up but eventually she gives the big bird a couple of pats and feeds it some fruits from the trough.
