Kana knew if she was caught, she would be dead. But she still had a single trump card that she knew she could use in order to suppress the man chasing her. It was just that by using it, her body would be vulnerable to attack. Her soul was not restricted to this world, so its strength was still there. She could solidify her soul and smack the little man to death, but that would not allow her to gain strength which was why she was not using it even if she was hurt and weak at this time. If she continually used the power of her soul, her body and cultivation would never rise. So even though the thought crossed her mind, she would not use it unless she absolutely needed to.

Kana stepped on air and continued forward. Her hand never leaving the hilt of her sword. She could hear the man in black's taunts behind her. But she ignored them as she did not care. She was not like the hot blooded youths of this world. Simple words would not offend her, at least some words.
