I took another sip of my drink, which was now almost cold.

Would you like another one?" asked Kevin as he pointed to my coffee cup, "that should be cold by now, go ahead and ask the waiter for another one or whatever you want... Do it with confidence. 

He was a little more relaxed now than he had been a few minutes earlier as he told me about the upcoming release of the novel. He was in too much of a hurry for me to be aware of everything that was planned for the near future. 

All right," I agreed, "I'll have one more coffee, it was delicious. 

He also asked for something else, something to eat," he suggested, "you can't spend all morning with just a cup of coffee, you probably didn't even have breakfast to get here. 

He called the waiter with a sign and he came to us a few minutes later and ordered my cup of coffee, this time he also ordered one and added two portions of chocolate cake to the order.
