Chương 40: Take me with you
In the car, Zhenyi settled in the corner by the window, staring at the pitch-black outside. Though she was born in China, she had yet to explore the capital city.
As Zhenyi was deep in her thought, someone was constantly staring at her, the way her face glint when the light fell on her, the way tendrils of hair grace her exquisite face.
Feeling his gaze on her, she turned towards his side and asked" where are you going?"
"Umm..dropping you at Xin Residence"
"I mean where are you going after that?"
"Me?"
"No the ghost behind you"
"Cough! Cough!"
Gu Tian coughed loudly when he heard what she said. Sigh! He felt pity for his boss. The woman was no ordinary.
Long Jie glared at Gu tian, who was specifically called by his boss to drive them home.
"Well, I'm going to spend the night at my penthouse"
"Take me with you then"
"Cough!cough!"
Now it was long Jie's turn to cough.
"What happened? Why are you coughing?"
"Nothing happens. Just startle me next time unannounced "
"Huh! What did I do? "
"You did nothing wife"
As he uttered the words, suddenly the car halted.
"Gu Tian, you don't cherish your job anymore?"
"I'm sorry sir. A cat appeared out of nowhere and startled me."
Gu Tian who was in dilemma for the entire day finally gets to know the president Xin was no one else but the lady boss. He sighed in relief.
"Indeed, cats these days love startling the shit out of me," Long Jie mumbled to himself.
"What did you say," Zhenyi asked as she heard him muttering to himself.
"Nothing Wife. And Gu Tian drive us to the penthouse"

Inside the penthouse.
Zhenyi was looking around the penthouse while Long Jie went to the kitchen to bring her water. There were no servants as he occasionally stayed here. The interiors were comfortable, detailed, and versatile but somehow it was giving her the vibes of a typical bachelor pad.
She sat on the big sofa with her feet curled up and deep in thoughts. Long Jie who came with a glass of water saw her tired and curled up on the sofa, as the queen was at her castle.
'Good she was making herself at home without being asked' he thought.
She took water from him and went back to what she was doing. That was nothing, just getting on his nerves.
Long Jie saw she had no intention of talking so he tried to instigate the conversation himself like always.
"Are you hungry?"
"To be honest, I'm hangry"
"Aren't you always? Long Jie smirked.
" Shut up! Get me some food"
"There" Long Jie pointed towards the kitchen." Go cook yourself"
"I'm a guest at your house. You should cook and serve me with best food"
"Pardon Empress! This humble subject don't have skills of cooking"
"LONG JIE! Give me food. I already had a shitty day, don't make it shitier, "Zhenyi sulked in front of him.
His eyes softened at her sulking but there was nothing he could do. He had no idea about cooking. Heck, to him coriander and mint are the same.
"Zhenyi, I really don't know how to cook"
Sigh!
"Now?" Zhenyi asked him.
"Wait, we can order takeout"
"Oh yeah?"
After few minutes. …..
"Where are chopsticks?"
" How would I know?"
"Last I remember, it was your house"
"Don't open it like this"
"Who add sausage to this dish?"
"Gross Long Jie"
"You are crazy Zhenyi!"
"Damm you! You're crazy! Your whole family is crazy!"
"Don't sulk like a baby"
"Zhenyi, this is mine! You said you don't like lotus roots!"
"Then why the heck you ate my tofu," zhenyi grumbled loudly.
"Wife, don't talk nonsense"
"You liar didn't you eat my mapo tofu I specially asked you to order"
"You---"
"I can't believe I'm marrying a man who doesn't even know how to cook! hmmph!!"
"Says the woman who never stepped a foot in the kitchen"
" Why would I? Kitchen is such a dangerous place"
"And guns are not?"
"LONG JIE! You ass"
