Fu Jie hadn't gotten a good look at the man's face so he didn't recognize him at all but Xiao Jingyi who had seen the whole thing play out from beginning till the end, naturally recognized the man immediately after seeing his face.
"The mayor..." Xiao Jingyi unconsciously muttered out loud, revealing the identity of this man who had now become one with the vicious bloodsucking flower.
"What...?!" Fu Jie thought he had heard wrong so he turned to face Xiao Jingyi and questioned, "What did you say, Shizun?"
Xiao Jingyi pointed at the man who had already lost his consciousness, "That's the mayor of Yuexing city."
Fu Jie gulped as he replayed this sentence in his mind and looked at the man who looked nothing like what he was supposed to look like.
The book's description of the man was so clear that Fu Jie had a vivid image in his mind. He knew exactly what this man was supposed to look like and he wasn't wrong.

cherlyswan Cherry: When I was initially drafting out the storyline for this book, I felt as if I was making a weird spider web.
There are so many things connected to each other that I was afraid readers would get bored after not being able to understand things (And I'm sure some did XD)
But finally, things have started to resurface. Now all the built-up mysteries can be solved one by one and even bigger mysteries wait to come.
Damn... Even though I love writing books, I have to say that writing a book is hard af. Especially carving out this whole world from scratch and being constantly worried that your writing may not give justice to this amazing world that you have crafted.
*sighs* I need a vacation after this.
