Frustrated
Overstated
So much devastation
Need a vacation
So complicated
Feeling so invaded
My body's not mine
My body's not mine
Ever wondered why
When you look on the inside
You wanna find solidarity
But only find intoxicated reality?
Paint a face that's not yours
And no one sees behind the doors
You try to bridge the gap
Then you take all of it back
You wanna get better
You try to be better
You think you're getting better
And then...
It stops.
It takes effort, drive, focus, and sincerity
He provides clarity --- ok but I can barely breathe
You tell me He's here
That I should not fear
He makes hope appear
But be real, my dear
You say that I'm blessed
You tell me I'm blessed
Be grateful, you're blessed
But guess what?
I'M A MESS
