"So there I was on the mountain top and I thought I was gonna fall and all but...Ow" Justin wacked Jake upside the head. "What'd you do that for?" Jake whined. Justin rolled his eyes "you were being an idiot".
So here we are in the hallway beside our lockers . The guys were able to get us lockers beside each other. Perks of being rich. We were currently a bit early to school and were dawdling in the hallway. Jake was telling me the story of the time they went on a vacation to Mount Elbert. But what he didn't know was that Jordan already told me about the trip and I know they didn't really scale the mountain.
By now you're all probably wondering how the guys and I met and why they're all important to me. Well it all started on a dark and stormy night. Just kidding, actually, the boys and I have been best friends for a long time.
The first time we met we were five. We were at a function with our parents. Turns out my parents and their parents were long lost friends who reconnected. While the adults were 'reconnecting' ,we had already met at the kiddies corner. Some kid pushed and laughed at my dress and suddenly these three boys appeared by my side and they pushed the kid back. Then one of the boys, who I found out was Jake, told me that my dress was cute to which the other two chimed in their agreement.
I remember smiling and I think we've been best friends from there. Imagine our parents surprise when they wanted to introduce us and we were already chatting away like besties . Since then the boys and I spent a lot of time together. We became inseparable.
They moved away a few years ago while we were in middle school because their dad got transferred but now they're 18. Well, Justin and Jake at least, meaning they're legally able to live alone so they came back. Technically, they're Jordan's legal guardians now till he turns 18.
The first bell rang and the guys and I decided we've diddled enough on the hallway and made our way to class. I paused beside the trophy case that kinda doubled as a mirror to take a look at my reflection. My long wavy brown hair fell to my waist and my emerald green eyes sparkled in the sun. I was wearing a floral off shoulder crop top and a yellow high waisted flared skirt that stopped just above my knees. I paired it up with a pair of wedge sandals and had on light make up. Standing at 5"5, 5"8 in my shoes, I'm really pretty, if I do say so myself.
Justin and Jake stood beside me looking very good with their light brown hair . Justin had on black jeans, a red t-shirt with a red and black stripped long sleeved shirt over it. He paired the outfit with black vans. Jake had on blue jeans and a black shirt that said "I'm sexy and I know it" with a black jacket over it. He also had black vans on. Simple yet chic.
Jordan was the only blonde. He was also easily the pretty boy of our group. The twins were handsome too but Jordan was the prettiest. He had light blue eyes and golden blonde hair. He stood at a height of 6"2. Two inches shorter than the twins who were 6"4 each. He was also more muscular than them. Probably because he was a football player while they were basketball players. Jordan was wearing dark ripped jeans, a black tight fitting t-shirt and a black jean jacket. He had on a pair of red sneakers.
The four of us looked good together, if I do say so myself. Some girls were actually checking the guys out. No surprise there. The twins with their hazel eyes and Jordan with his blue ones were very attractive. We walked in step to class. The twins had it arranged so that we'd each have a class with at least one person. Right now though, all of us had English with Mr Crend. We were part of the first set of students to get to class and we sat at a middle row. Jordan beside me with the twins behind us.
I took out my phone and decided to take a selfie since I looked really cute this morning but the guys tried to ruin my shot so in the end I took a group photo of us and it looked great. I posted it on my Instagram and captioned it the boys are back. I tagged each of the guys. I had to put my phone away because Mr Crend entered the class.
Class droned on for the rest of the day. I had calculus with Justin, chemistry with Jake and then we had lunch. Usually I sat with the cheerleaders because I am one but I never really feel like I belonged. The only reason I joined the squad was because I loved it and I was good at it and my mum used to be a cheerleader. But the girls on the squad and I never really got along that well. You see, after the guys left I didn't really have much friends. I wasn't exactly antisocial, I talked to people but I could never really call them my friends. So yeah I sat with the cheerleaders because it was better than sitting by myself like a loser.
But now the guys and I sat at our own table. It was all laughs and jokes and a lot of wasted food. After lunch Jordan and I walked to PE together. So get this, I'm a pro at PE. I may be a fashionista but I'm also really athletic and today in class we were starting gymnastics, my favorite sport. "Okay class, settle down. As you all know we're starting gymnastics this week. I was unavoidable absent yesterday but we'll start today", our teacher, Coach Varner said. "Since it's only the first day, we'll start with some basic warmups. Everyone pick a partner".
I think it was obvious who my partner was. Yep! Jordan. We did a few push-ups and sit-ups until we had to stop. "Now everyone you're gonna do the wheelbarrow exercise", Coach Varner said. "Uh coach?" a girl in our class named Stacy called. "Yeah miss DeVille?"
"What's the wheel barrow exercise?"
"I was getting to that you bird brain, if you'd just let me finish".
Some girls gigged at that and Coach Varner gave them a glare that shut them up. "The wheel barrow exercise is a position where one person stands on their hands while the partner holds up the legs in a position of a wheelbarrow". Everyone groaned at that. "And for that, it's gonna be a race. The team who wins gets to sit out tomorrow's class" , coach said with a smirk.
"We've totally gotta win Jo", Jordan said to me with a determined look on his face. "Why? You wanna miss class tomorrow?" I asked with a raised brow.
"Yeah, don't you? "
"Weeeeellll..."
"Oh come on. Don't be a nerd Josie".
"Ugh fine".
"Okay class we'll do the race in groups of five. Group one consists of the teams of Josie and Jordan, Luke and Terry, Mark and Josh, Ava and Kelly, Dorian and Grace. Okay line up. Get ready. Go."
Jordan and I were on the move. He was the barrow and I was the holder. It was a tough race but we won. We ended up winning the tournament too and that meant we got to skip class tomorrow.
