Chương 3: Unexpected Help (Villain AU)

It was cold but there was a burning pain in her side. She felt exhausted as she tried to remember what happened. She remembered a villain attack on her class. She remembered the league were the ones responsible. They weren't alone though. They seemed to have gotten a new member. She then felt the burning pain become a searing pain. It felt as though something had just been ripped out. She opened her eyes to find the source of her pain. She saw a girl who was at the most her age. She was concerningly pale. Her black hair was sticking out at all angles as though it hadn't been brushed in a long time and only reached just above her shoulders. There were odd holes on her hips that showed the muscle. Oddly the muscle was purple. She was only able to see them because of what the girl was wearing. She had a white button up shirt with black buttons. It was actually only half of one as from half way down the midriff down it was ripped off. She also had on a pair of black pants. She wore a purple hoodie with red pockets over it all. Her whole face besides her eyes was covered by a black mask. Her eyes were almost completely white. Toru could only see the barest hint of a yellowish-green color around a barely visible pupil. Toru then noticed what the girl had in her hands. It was a piece of rebar. She could hear something dripping off it but couldn't see anything. Then she realized it was her blood. "Your awake mini hero? Your lucky it was me that found you in the rubble." Toru felt her heart drop. This was the new member of the league from the attack. The one that was at the attack. "You've got an injured U.A hero student laying on a metal table. What are you planning?" "At the moment only to stitch your wound, knock you back out, and throw you on U.A's doorstep." The villain said as she walked off to get something. Toru took this as her chance to escape as she did not believe a word the villain said. Toru started get up as quietly as possible to not alert the villain. That backfired big time as before she even got up there was pure black slug pushed her back to the table then solidified. It was jagged and pointy but not anywhere it touched her. "Now Mini Hero, why did you think that was a good idea?" Toru didn't know how to answer and not get killed. "Oh... your still scared of me Mini Hero. Believe it or not I know that feeling well." "Then why?" The villain turn around now with medical thread and a needle. "Why what?" The villain was walking back towards her. "Why be a villain?" The villain was quiet and when she got back to her finally said. "You know there's an old saying, 'We're all the heroes of our own stories'." Toru didn't know what to think of that. Did this villain think she was in the right? What happened to make her believe that it was right to do the things she must have done to get into the L.O.V. "Who are you?" The question left Toru's mouth before she could stop it. The villain smirked and said. "My name is Karma. I'm surprised you didn't recognize me. I've been on the news quite a few times." Toru's fear started to rise again. "Your a serial killer!" Karma's smirk didn't leave her face as she prepared the needle and medical thread. "They never tell the whole story, do they? Anyway I suggest you don't move. You have a blind very much not doctor about to give you stitches that will make sure your still alive to get you to Recovery Girl." Toru didn't think she could get more afraid after having a serial killer holding her down with a quirk that has killed dozen at this point but, she was just proven wrong. A blind serial killer who wasn't a medical professional of any kind was the one patching her up after being one of the ones to attack her class. "You know, I didn't know we were attacking children. If I did I would've left the league right then and there." Toru didn't say anything. She wondered if Karma was trying to get the blame off of herself. "I didn't even really want to join the league in the first place. I just wanted to get the money they promised me and leave. I regret it. Now I've been a temp member for 5 months and still haven't been paid. I'm going to leave after this if they want to put me on their hit list so be it." Toru was still very much confused. "Aren't you scared of what they would do to you?" Karma looked to be in thought for a second as she continued her work. "I don't fear death if anything I look forward to it. I don't have anything that they could possibly use against me. The only thing that kept me here for this long was because they feel like the closest thing to a family I've had in a long time." Toru could tell this was the truth as she heard the quivers in her voice. She could tell Karma was in pain so, she let her speak. If for nothing more she was already learning things that could help in the investigation. "Toga, Big Sis Mag, Dabi, Twice, Tomura, and Kurogiri they've taken more care of me than dozens of foster families and a blood aunt ever has. They never hit me or told me I was less than worthless or even called me evil. Dabi is always careful when he uses his fire near me and lets me vent about everything I need to to him. Tomura was the one who pulled me off the streets and lead me to his sensei who gave me the offer. He's like my big brother now. Toga and Twice immediately became the friends I never had. Kurogiri is like the dad I don't remember. Big Sis Mag's like the older sister I never had." Toru could see the tears forming. She didn't know what to do. What is she supposed to even do in this situation? This whole day has been weird. Karma just finished her work. "I'm sorry I put all that on you. You don't even know me. You shouldn't have to deal with my stupid problems." Toru saw Karma's face lose all emotion. Karma left again to get something from where her got the needle and thread. She came back with a bottle and a syringe. Toru realized what was about to happen and prayed to whatever god was out there that Karma would do what she said she would before and leave her outside of U.A. "Thank you for listening to me ramble." There was a hint of sadness in her voice. Then she felt the needle enter her skin and felt the pure black mass release her. Karma then whispered something as she started to get sleepy "Sweet dream Mini Hero" Toru decided to answer. "My name is Hagakure Toru. Good night" Toru's world then turned  the same black as Karma's quirk.
