His eyes flashed with a faint golden glow as he turned around; "She'll be fine."
Ellias moved towards Lena and placed his hand on her belly. The midwives didn't notice but a strand of energy phased out of Elias at that moment and infiltrated Lena insides.
The tension in the room built as the labor progressed. Suddenly, a sharp cry filled the room—the cry of a newborn.
Lena collapsed back, exhausted but relieved as tears streamed down her face. She didn't know where the energy to push came from but she couldn't be more thankful now for it.
Elias carefully lifted the child, a healthy baby boy, and placed him in her arms.
As Elias watched the newborn take his first breath, his tiny chest rising and falling with the effort of life, a deep, unexpected emotion stirred within him.
The room was quiet now except for the soft cries of the baby and the gentle murmurs of the midwife and attendants.
