Delaney wasn't sure what to think of her son's request. She knew him all too well. He was only agreeing to a marriage arrangement to forget about the girl he had been pining for.
However, he was an adult now and it was no longer up to her to make decisions for him.
"Okay." She said. "How soon do you want to meet her?"
"As soon as her father wants." He once again said dismissively.
She pulled him closer and cupped his cheeks. "Destrian, I know you know what you're doing but are you sure you don't want to think this through? Marriage isn't reversible. I mean, it could be, if you are human.
Demons have to choose their partners more carefully because once you get married, you have to spend the rest of your life with her. And being an immortal, that will be an awfully long amount of time if you don't like her."
He kissed her cheek. "I know, mother."
