"Son?" Alanor asked Darius who was smiling at him, like it was the best thing that had happened to him. The smile that Darius was having wasn't creepy, but given what Alanor had learned from Zafik, he wasn't ready to face this. 

Not when he was already feeling happy for the first time in so long.

"Wh... What do you mean son? I don't understand. How are you related to us?" Alanor asked honestly, looking at Darius before turning to his brother. He knew his brother would lie to him and Alanor was counting on Delbert's truth this time.

"Is he... is he our father? Is he..." Alanor asked carefully and Delbert knew that there was no point in lying to Alanor. He couldn't lie to his brother, not this time, because there was just no way that he would kick off his relationship with his brother, with a lie.

Delbert knew that there was chaos about to ensue but this time, he was going to take over.
