Chương 100: An Alliance

"On your right!" Balder shouted, in the heat of battle, running his blade through the head of a Cre'von severing away its pitiful life in an instant.

At his warning, Ella caught sight of a blur racing down from above near her right. Driving down its bone spike, a fiendish crackle of laughter sounded from the Cre'von, wishing for blood to fall.

Tensions ran high, and sweat fell, but Ella remained passive, as a cold god; she narrowed her eyes and readied herself with a quick incantation that rang from her lips as a silver sigil appeared in a blink of an eye.

"Force Bullet."

Whistling through the air with ruthless intent, a massive hole appeared within the Cre'von chest. Removing all organs on the way out, the fiend screeched its last breath, falling limp over the cold ground.

"Save your Arcana Ella." Said Aurelia sharply.

Ella peeked at her sister, shifting back to the battle ahead. "Got it." Gripping the vampiric blade tighter, leaving a lingering craving deep within her heart. She eyed the blood pooling over the grass for a moment and smiled.

"What the hell is the hold-up! Get rid of the rest!" Caldor valiantly spouted, his blade covered in a thick red.

"No need to be rude," Nila pursed by his side, holding onto two daggers that glisten with a brilliant Azure light, made quick work of a Cre'von—cutting it to pieces, a bloody smile cresson her thin lips, as she eyed Sionn.

Moving like an apparition with afterimages trailing behind her like a silent whisper, Tena gripping an oddly curved sword, lifted it high as it clanked into an elven style silver bow; Holding seven runes over its base, five arrows shot through the air with deadly precision, tearing away limbs and ending the battle with a single nock from her bow.

"They are only first-level beast, nothing we cannot handle, but those three do not look like any lord or lady I have ever seen."

Surveying the battlefield with her sharp eyes, Tena glanced up at Balder, whose blade was lowered. A look of wary was on his face as he stared at the two girls ahead.

"Irrelevant they should know when to bow." Caldor proclaimed, closing in with something to prove, "Do you not know when to kneel?"

Aurelia frowned and glanced at Balder, who shook his head. Sharing a profound look, she spoke. "Let's go; there may be another wave; this was too easy."

"Do you know who you stand against, girl? And you there, "Caldor viciously barked, holding onto his longsword; he glared defiantly at Sionn. " Are you not a man, or have your balls not dropped yet? How can you allow a woman to guide your path?"

"Were you kicked in the head by a horse as an infant?" Sionn questioned, baffled by how his manhood came into question.

"The arrogance!" Said Caldor.

"Can we kill him?" Raising her Rapier, a bloody smile crossed over Ella's lips. Never before had such a thing irritated her in such a manner.

"Just a dog barking. Leave it be." Aurelia indifferently reminded.

"You got a lot of nerve," Caldor blurted out, halting his step an arms-length from Aurilia, towering over her, a gleam of superiority shone from his demeanor. he lifted his head and smirked.

"That's enough. Back off." Balder imposed, noticing the growing agitation over her companions.

"My Lord?" Said Caldor, taken back by his words.

"You three are not from Illuthath, are you." Balder judged, skimming his eyes over their clothing. He had never seen such a common type of linen before. Within Illuthath, the quality of items, like many other realms, went a long way. Generation after Generation had changed the quality of goods over the endless cycles.

What was an ordinary piece of clothing to most people in Illluthath was a piece of divine work to those within Alos.

"We are not," Knowing he had a reason to say such a thing. Aurelia answered straightforwardly. "Is that a problem?"

"On the contrary, it proves your worth," Balder elegantly phrased, impressed by her grace and skill.

"Forgive my rudeness, My lord. But they are low born. Nothing more than enslaved people." Nila stressed, pointing the finger.

Tena frowned, glancing back and forth between Balder and the strange three that had caught her eyes. Taking a step behind her lord, subtly, to distant herself, she waited, holding her opinion.

"Is there going to be a problem?" Aurelia calmly asked, her tone seemingly tranquil for one her age. Carrying herself, with grace above the common man, Balder stepped forward.

"I am Balder Soltven, and I would be interested in traveling with you." He introduced sharply, with a dreadful poise.

"Your companions would beg to differ," Sionn coldly mocked, not bothering to mask the contempt.

"They are not my companions, only people that I merely know. You three have my interest, and seeing you are not from Illuthath, I would say you need me." He informed, sheathing his blade in a black scaled scabbard.

"My lord, that is--"

"I would hold my tongue if I were you. Should they strike, I will not help." Balder coldly warned. Ready to end Caldor's life with a single quick draw.

"Anima, do you have any information on the Soltven family? " Aurelia suddenly inquired, holding her gaze on the handsome man staring intently at her.

"The Soltven family is one of seven families in the city of Winterpool. They control over seventy million lesser planes, fifty Greater Planes, and a hundred God Realms. Not much was gathered regarding the current patriarch, but Chancellor Ryker, the second in command, is said to be known for his overly cruel methods."

Starstruck by the information, not even he knew somehow echo from Aurelia's wrist, he stood petrified for a moment. "My father is not the patriarch? That's. That's impossible. Who are you three?"

"Anima, did Master unlock this information?" Sionn curiously conveyed.

"Master has allowed only specific question I deem useful to be answered. For example, monsters, fiends, or beast you have not seen." Anima robotically answered.

Caught by surprise by Anima's statement, a vibrant smile touched upon Aurelia's lips; unable to help herself, her laughter resounded through the winds. "Tell me about the Silver Devil then?" She said, not daring to speak his name, less she risks an attack by Balder and his crew.

"Aurelia, not here." Ella abruptly scolded, flicking her head.

Giggling to herself, the young fallen nodded, "Fine, but it's such a good opportunity. Let's travel together."
