Chương 31: To Help or not?
One month has passed since ending of competition,Zeph and Sauren decided to remain in city till Zeph learns his new technique .
They followed same schedule throughout one month which consists of
eating hearty breakfast ,going for trainning in nearby forest,sparring during noon ,eating snacks at lunch ,during evening spending time meditating and thinking what to eat during night and having dinner at night.
Ceclia also came one or two times to meet with them.They again declined her polite invitation to join academy.After one month of toiling they finally decided to travel back to Gephyr.
In forest,Sun was shining brightly .Zeph found himself walking alongside with Sauren towards same path they have found statue of wolf.
"We are soon going to reach that statue of wolf ,what do you say want to enter that Black sorcerers tribe"asked Sauren sarcastically.
Zeph ignored his jibe and said ,"we should avoid meddling in their affairs ."
To Sauren he was still little bit grumpy about not having chance to fight that black sorcerer,also now he was at early Sacral chakra level .To him his fighting progress is increasing continuously but opponents to fight are also increasing.
They soon reached outskirts of village and tall wolf monument was beginning to be visible from distance.They soon found someone walking towards them in same path as they were traveling.
A young man with white hair with ash tattooes were coming towards them from distance.Sauren quickly recognised kid and warned Zeph.
"Hey,get ready its that warning giving sorcerer "said Sauren as he maintained battle ready posture.
Zeph also recognised him at first glance but he didn't think he was here to attack them.Both of them waited for some time to let that sorcerer approach them.
He was walking unhurriedly while slightly looking towards his left and saying something intermittently.His behaviour spooked Sauren who already have some subconscious fear towards ghost.
"Hey who are you talking to , clearly there is no one there"
Sorcerer stopped and looked towards both Zeph and Sauren.
He nodded in greetings towards Zeph and said
"Greetings ,we meet again but this time I am here to ask you for aid towards good cause.A Sorcerer with heinous sin has escaped from our kingdom and is roaming in area if left unchecked will cause massacare among normal humans to restore his power so I am willing to hunt that threat if you can provide your aid to this cause."
"Damn what are you talking, heinous sorcerer,all of you black magic users are heinous sorcerers, what if you are trying to get help from us to kill your enemy."
Young boy didn't answer Sauren s question but kept looking towards Zeph.
Zeph also agreed with Sauren's point thus said
,"Do you have proof to your statement?"
"I am willing to take binding oath to prove truth of my words , Moreover not all sorcerers use method of human sacrifice but that evil sorcerer sacrificed whole village thus was grave offencer even in eyes of us Black sorcerers.
He even tried to take away our kingdom 's guardian spirit thus invoking fury of all Sorcerers.He escaped from them with heavy injuries but Sorcerers are unwilling to pursue him outside.
They do not consider human lives worth putting their own lives in danger .So I came here on my own to find that sorcerer but alone I could not amount to much thus require your help"
Zeph was caught in dilemma,whether to accept his request or deny due to unfamiliarness toward Black magic Sorcerers.
On other hand,Sauren just realised that this man was only answering Zeph's questions thus, ignoring him straight.His already worse temper reached boiling point.He moved and stood between Zeph and young man.
"You ,Are you ignoring me ?"
Sorcerer looked toward Sauren and then turned toward Zeph and said,
"Is he not your subordinate?"
Sauren was enraged beyond words he yelled,
"YOU are subordinate,we are comrades and if anyone is leader it is me, you fool. Don't you dare make some baseless assumption again"
He was going to fight with Sorcerer there and then but Zeph came and pulled him back
"Hey relax, he was mistaken only don't loose your head over small matter.
Now you decide we should go help or not?"
Sauren cooled down then realised by speaking he had fallen in trap of Zeph.Now he had to make decision on this matter.He looked toward Zeph and found him smiling.Now if he said yes ,and they got their lives flushed out he will be responsible and if he said no ,it will be forever stain on his life to not offer aid when asked and he would be forever taunted by Zeph for being coward.
He gritted his teeth and threw caution to wind .Even if this whole of help thing is scam and is made to lure them,even if this shady sorcerer wanted us to end his enemies.
"We will go with you but if we find anything miss or out of our league we will run without taking any care of you"
"Ofcourse self security is most important."nodded sorcerer.
"let me introduce myself.I am Raiken, black magic sorcerer."
"Hello,Raiken I am Zeph and He is Sauren."
"Do you know where to find him ?"asked Sauren.
"I know where to start"said Raiken as he began moving toward Gravestone forest.
Zeph and Sauren followed behind him.Walking behind him ,they noticed that after some time Raiken would look towards his shoulder and mutter something like he was talking to someone.By watching him doing again and again, Sauren couldn't control himself more and whispered to Zeph.
"With who ,he is taking to?"
"I don't know maybe some invisible spirit"Zeph whispered back.
"Fu*k,you mean we are travelling with ghost all this time "
"Maybe"Zeph shrugged his shoulders.
