Chương 25: Chapter 25: You've got it rough

She kind of already knew why he was approaching her but she couldn't understand why at the moment where everyone was watching. Before he could even speak about something, Diana spoke first.

"Go away."

"..."

With the heavy amount of cold words along with the silent atmosphere, Diana somehow felt guilty as she felt the eyes surrounding them. And after glancing at Darius, she saw a glimpse of puppy dog eyes, begging her to give what he wants.

It was so obvious that the situation turned around from Diana being the victim to being a bully.

"F-Fine... at the same place..." Diana mumbled where only Darius and Eva could only hear due to their sharp senses.

It wasn't written on his face but she could tell that he was overjoyed as he walked back to training. But Diana was so confused since his attitude suddenly became very childish...

Could I trust my death to him?

The night has finally come once again, Diana was on her way to the room when Eva suddenly asked, "Lady Diana, are you seeing Prince Darius at night?"

Diana was startled and even though she hasn't yet turned around, she could feel the animosity from her back, "H-How could you say such a thing in such a weird way? Nothing's going on... I'm just helping him with something..."

"Help? Lady Diana, I believe I've told you that everyone treats him as a monster, a vicious beast. Please leave him alone, he doesn't need help," Eva strongly exclaimed which made Diana glared at her.

"Don't you dare say that again" she continues her walk as she calmly said, "Don't worry, I don't have any romantic feelings for him and I'm the one who agreed to help him so don't bother and stay quiet."

"...Yes, Lady Diana..."

Diana helplessly sighed as she gestured for her to leave as soon as they arrived at her room. But just like yesterday night, Darius was waiting for her to arrive.

"... Are you seriously going to come here every night?"

"... Is it that bad?"

Diana's eyes widened from the shocking question she just heard, "Bad?! You're asking me if it's bad? Hah... never mind... it's better to be here than the garden..."

Truthfully, the other night was a lucky night since if they were caught sneaking around in the garden, it would create a big misunderstanding which she did not want to happen. She believed that her room was the safest place for now.

"Why are you so interested in this thing?"

"Who wouldn't be? It's so strange..."

Diana realized she asked a stupid question. Suddenly, she felt that Darius was staring at her so she asked cautiously, "What's wrong?"

"I don't remember giving you cuts on your face... there's even at your hands..."

"Ah... something happened recently. Anyway, here's the thing you want," Diana takes the phone out from her pillow and gives it to him.

A few moments later, Darius has turned on his serious mode while playing the game. Seeing that Diana had nothing to do as she couldn't interrupt him, she took the letters she got from Eric. She glanced over the names that were written but all she could think of was that they were strangers.

"Baron Marquez, Viscount Adolph, Baron Albert, and Duchess Freya..." Darius suddenly mumbled as he comes closer to take a look at the letters.

Diana was surprised as she could see his beautiful skin and eyes along with his long lashes. She couldn't help but stare at them as her hand slowly reaches out.

"You've got it rough..."

She suddenly snapped out of her thoughts and instinctively answered, "oh... is... it that bad?"

Darius simply nodded as he continues back gaming.

Diana was somehow pissed by how Darius was acting and getting addicted to the phone that she gradually thought of how evil phones are. But she didn't bother him any longer as she sighs and skimmed through letters.

Eventually, as time passed by, Diana was not aware that she gradually fell asleep.

Diana slowly opened her eyes and blinked as she felt the sunlight streaming through her window. It was a nice feeling but it was suddenly blocked by a wholesome figure.

She wondered who was blocking the refreshing sunlight but as her eyesight got clearer, she was surprised to see Darius still playing games on the phone with his exhausted eyes wide open.

"Darius... did you play all night...?" Diana asked but he was too focused on the game to answer but she still asked him one more time, "Darius, do you fuqing know what time it is...?"

With still no response, she hastily took the phone away from him and tightly gripped it in her hands. Darius lets out a small gasp as soon as the phone got taken away and tried to threaten her with his glare.

"...Stop it. That won't work."

Realizing it didn't work, Darius turned pitiful as imaginary droopy dog ears and depressed eyes were seen from Diana's viewpoint. She got startled and becomes hesitant for a moment but she didn't give in to his petty tricks.

"I-I won't fall for it."

His face swiftly shifts to a stern look as he turned away and clicked his tongue.

Is this guy serious?!?

Diana tries to compose herself as she talks to him, "Anyway, how are you going to train when you stayed up all night?"

"... It won't be a problem," Darius hops out of the bed and leaves through the window without saying another word.

Diana could simply sigh.

A few moments later, Eva enters the room and was a bit surprised to see Diana already got off bed early morning, "Good Morning, Lady Diana..."

"Mhm... Eva, I want you to investigate what happened the other day at Lucifer's place. I told them to send me a report of the incident as soon as possible but it seems like they're having a hard time."

"I believe that there is nothing more to report since the culprits may have already cleared their tracks. It would be difficult to gain information."

"Then at least observe Lucifer's actions... I'm still a bit suspicious of her. Observe her for a day and report to me tomorrow."

"Yes, Lady Diana."
